Loving the new maps. Strike at Karkand is SICK. Huge map. Kinda like Caspian except an urban setting!! Want it now PK???:)

Seriously, I've gotten more bang for my buck out of this bad boy than any game in recent memory. Tons of fun. Thanks DICE.

Dude: I know resistance is futile. I played Battlefield4Free for a while this fall on the Web, as I never had played a Battlefield game online and wanted to learn about the fuss. Karkand was my favorite map in that free game, by far.

So, yeah, I'll probably have these maps within a week, once I recover from the sting of being such an ignoramus about the limited edition game.

It was fun last night but there has to be a way to play new maps only. On the PC I was able to find a server which was only new maps.

Holy crap I was bad last night...I guess I shouldn't be running around with a newly unlocked gun on maps that I don't know. LOL. Should have went back to the tried and true M4. Oh well...gotta get some kills w/ the new gear at some point.

They probably don't because of the lack of players compared to the PC version. With 32 players a team, you can have more capture points. No sense in having 7 spots when you only have 12 guys on your team. Seems excessive.

Did everyone online last night have the new maps? I was wondering maybe that we didn't play many of the new maps because not everyone in our party had the new ones? Pulled that theory out of my ass.

Some of the new maps are very sniper/recon/p***y friendly, can't wait to try them on the PC as well. I think the recon class needs the old mortar strike or something back as you can't do s*** against vehicles. - the Soflam is neat but you need some serious teamwork and coordination to use it effectively -

On the 360, there are servers labeled B2K that just run the new maps. Just join through the server browser.

Gets old pretty quick IMO, but it's a good way to see them all quickly.

Anybody try the IR scope since the update?

I was playing the new maps this morning and it seemed like it wasn't changed, but then the maps rotated to the old ones and IR scope became useless. Need to double check to make sure it wasn't my imagination.

IR scope was REALLY toned down last night after the update on all of the maps. I know for a fact it wasn't working like it was before on the subway map (never can remember the names)...that is my favorite place to use it...down in the basement and on the platforms.

They have stated that a patch is in the works to make the IRNV more consistent between the environments. There is no question that since the update something is really goofy with it where it becomes completely unusable on certain maps.

It is definitely unusable on Damavand Peak, and on Grand Bazaar it was pretty awful too. Seemed fine on 2 of the new maps when I tried.

I have it. I can't use it. I'm infinitely better with red dots and holographics over scopes, anyway, so I hardly use any scope.

I saw the same thing at best buy also limited and non limited all together for the same price bf weekend.

Jimmy and I did our best Abbot and Costello routine last night as we were in the same squad. Upon seeing how bad we were together, the Battlefield team contacted us to see if we would host a super extreme level up weekend to help people level up quicker.

Teal and I were enjoying a low key tour of the new maps last night (albeit getting our asses kicked) when suddenly the quiet demeanor of the room changed. F-Bombs started falling from the sky like acid rain. There was no escaping them. The choice of words, a tribute to Pk, the tone however, different. Less kind. Less humorous. The words, smaller and simpler than PK, including a self admitted reduced vocabulary.

I took a sip of my beer and tried to put a name with the voice.. no luck. The tone continued to ramp up into a fit of rage. "F-this.. F-you.. I hate that F'n NHL Game!.. I'm going to go to EA Vancouver and kill the F'n developers"

Ahhh.. It was our good friend Diablo. Once again he was helping EA market their fine NHL Game :)

Back to BF3. As of this moment I'm not a huge fan of the new maps. Maybe with time I'll feel different. I will agree with Rob, the maps are very similar, maybe too similar. Too big as well (at least one of them).

Anyway... fun was had as always.

I think they're good on their own, but they're way, way too similar to each other when played in the short rotation.

Wake is interesting. It's essentially a tank fight, because those bases are just so damn far apart. LOL

:D I apologize for the outrageous rant but I was so irate at the game last night...I'm getting hot just typing about it right now. Oh well, it felt great to vent about it before I got my ass handed to me by that prick in the chopper on the new maps. Good times!

Eh, like I said last night, if you can't rant to your buddies, who can you rant to? Of course, that was, for me, one of the funniest things I've heard in awhile... :D

What made it funny was the fact that it never really ended. Then, after a moment or two not bringing it up, he'd start all over again. Classic stuff, Diablo. Thanks for the laughs!!
