If you can't score more than one goal at home against a team that has 17 year old left back, an 18 year old right back and Kyrgiakos playing you don't deserve to win.
I would've let Carragher play unconscious rather than suffer through another Kyrgiakos performance.
Draw was a fair result. The Ars did absolutely nothing with their possession in the first half and were criminally unable to exploit the Teenage Dream fullbacks. Spearing spilled Fabregas, but he'd already given away possession and it was an unfortunate call.

that game was pretty much a throw away one since the league gap is a bit too large. Looking forward to the Cup Final on Wed.
Mourinho has received a lot of flak for playing on the counter in the Bernabeu (Real Madrid is not Inter Milan), though I think he got it right and Real Madrid could've sneaked it. The big one for me is the Champions League. If Madrid were to somehow sneak the win there and go on to lift the cup for the 10th time, the season would turn into a disaster for Barcelona. On paper, that shouldn't happen but it's not inconceivable.
Amazing day of football! The Spurs-Gunners match was madness. The Copa del Rey final was gripping. And the first leg of the CONCACAF CL is tonight. Don't expect that one to match up, but it should be good.

Interesting formation by P. Guardiola, Mascherano playing Puyol's usual position, while Real's midfield showed more control with Alonso playing just behind Pepe and Khedira leaving Ozil to do his thing. Barca wasn't as creative with the limited space, lots of fouls just as Jose's team wanted in the first half which was pretty intense. Barca found more space in the second half but I thought Real's D did a good job clearing Casillas's zone.
The RSL-Monterrey game didn't live up to the afternoon's lofty standards, but it was absolutely excellent in its own right. Huge credit to Kreis and RSL for not only standing up to the a tough team in tough weather before a hostile crowd, but for excelling under those conditions.
I know he's young, but preparing a team for a game like that and seeing them deliver bodes well for Kreis' future.

Back at the start of the season, when you did us 5-0 at Victoria Park and we appeared to simply not bother turning up, I thought I was looking at two sides leaving League One in opposite directions. I didn't attend Saturday's match (you may be aware through the messageboards of the events after our early-season match, which make Hillsborough a bad place to be for any Poolie who didn't arrive under police escort) but my understanding is that we're now both as mid-table as each other. One of those very ordinary, very end-of-season matches.
Nice to see ex-Poolie Sir Thomas Miller still in action and still scoring penalties (nice of SuperTom not to celebrate too, bless him), though from what I saw on the highlights, it probably wasn't one and Madine handled before scoring your second. It makes no odds, though. We're both just about safe, your lot can focus on getting back in the Championship next season and we can concentrate on staying in League One for another year.
Rumor has it that Arsene Wegner will try to acquire Sergio Ramos this summer; his ability to throw away trophies would make him a natural fit at Arsenal.
