Every time I hear the name Altidore I always think of out the door. I know strange sense of humor.

My beloved Boca Juniors have been struggling a bit lately until R. Riquelme showed up with a beautiful goal when everyone was expecting for a header.

[begrudgingly]That was a Champions performance by United and their Granny Shagger[/begrudgingly]
Anyone see the Milan derby? For an old man, Seedorf was amazing in that game. Cassano is a muppet.

1) Dear Mr Lebron James,
Can you please play centre back for us? You may have never kicked a ball in your life but you will still be better than Kyrgiakos.
2) Another great game for Fernando.

Looks like Liverpool is rubbing off on the Red Sox, rather than the other way around as some of us hoped.

It wasn't pretty by any means but Chelsea gets by Wigan on a scrambled goal by Malouda. Remember him?
Re: The Beautiful Game Thread 10/11
City were a disgrace today against Liverpool, and they lost Tevez to a bad hamstring injury. It's funny to compare their 56 points with Everton's 44 points considering the massive gap in transfer spending wages. Maybe Moyes can take over from Mancini when gets the axe.

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread 10/11
Dreadful display by City, particularly since even the slightest pressure would almost certainly have shattered that makeshift Liverpool defense.
At least the rising gas prices should put some more lucre in the hands of the City Sheikhs. I'm sure they can use some of that to pry Fernando Torres free from Chelski.
Full marks to the City supporters for staying classy during the minute's silence during the pre-game. Their suburban cousins would have certainly lacked that level of class and civility.

This is the way you debut a new team. Can we get a WCQ at this place pronto?
Re: The Beautiful Game Thread 10/11
Well gotta eat crow. I remember saying how the MLS should put a franchise in Miami and how the West Coast would be a bad idea. I watched the MLS match on ESPN3 last night between Portland and Chicago. Holy smokes Portland is into Soccer big-time. They had flags waving all over the stadium even though it was raining. They were chanting and singing. The stadium was packed too.
They got their first win last night although that last goal was definitely a hand ball the ref didn't see.

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread 10/11
Barca, despite it's superior ball possession couldn't solve Jose Mourinho's D web as Real managed to tie the game at the end of the 2nd half with 10 men on a PK converted by Ronaldo. No one will catch the Azulgranas though.

I just discovered today that I have Fox Soccer Channel in HD on my FIOS Extreme HD package. Currently watching Arsenal play Liverpool.
I don't know when they added FSC in HD, but I've been watching Fox Soccer Channel in standard definition since I first got FIOS last June.

Some finish to Arsenal Liverpool.
Dont know what to make of that ref...but the managers exchange was pretty funny. I read a "Piss off!' on those lips.

The ref as usual is more noticeable than the game itself never a good thing this time made for excitement for sure. A deserved point but a crappy way to earn it.
