Folks are in-town. Did some Adventures (rafting & space pop). Everyone dug it.

Rodster, Everything I've heard on Fighters Uncaged is that it is terrible. Haven't tried it myself though.

Free DLC available today for Kinect Sports: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news ... e-Now.html

So is everyone still playing this? Or has it lost it's initial newness? I haven't followed much news on future releases but is EA or any other sports developer working on some titles using Kinect?

I returned mine a couple weeks ago and don't miss it one bit. The kids haven't asked one time about it either. Then again, we're so busy with school and activities, it was never being played. It truly is an amazing piece of technology, but maybe it was the wrong time for us to enjoy it. Everytime I've had the urge to play a video game, it's been one where I can plant my lazy a** on the couch.

That said, I believe EA is coming out with Grand Slam Tennis in early 2011 (January?).

Mine still gets a lot of play at my house between Kinect Sports and Dance Central.

Those of you that currently have the new 4GB Xbox console, do you think the storage is enough or do you feel the need to upgrade to a new Hard Drive?

I don't really see anybody posting about the blast they're having with this or the Move. I do like Sports Champs for the Move, but when I have time to fire up the PS3, I'd still much rather go with Backbreaker or NBA2k11.

Just downloaded the update for Kinect Sports. We still play it and sweat it out a lot along Dance Central. Sure the novelty of it all has died down a bit but it's still being played in my household and as usual it's all about the games, right? Was really looking forward to EA's Tennis game but I was told that the game comes out in march now.

The one thing that the Kinect lacks is a good single playing experience. When you compare it to the Wii, you immediately glamorize how much better and cooler the motion controls are for the Kinect. Also, immediately you see a dramatic difference in graphics. But what you don't see is a real good single playing experience, unless of course you're interested in exercise games. I brought up the Wii because I see people selling theirs, and I almost did the same with ours. However, you just can't deny sustainable games like Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Kirby, Sonic Colors, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong Country, etc. etc. I would have made a huge mistake selling the Wii as the kids still prefer that console over the Kinect. We gotta remember they don't care about graphics as much as we do!

It's very early in the life of the Kinect, so it's quite possible there may be some great single playing games on the horizon, but right now it seems this system is more geared for families and friends all playing together. Or at least a parent watching your child enjoying themselves playing Kinect Sports, Dance Central, Adventures, etc. One area I see the Kinect excelling would be sports games like baseball and tennis. Right now, it just doesn't have the depth for a single playing experience. Just my take.

I grabbed one a couple weeks back and we are having a blast with it. Technology wise it just blows the Wii and the Move away in my opinion.

My kids have an absolute blast with Kinectamals, and we all have a lot of fun with the bowling.

It is early for it, so I'm interested in seeing what the future holds.

High tech sign you need a haircut: my kinnect has started identifying me as me my wife lately(been purposely growing my hair out the last 6 months). Too bizarre.

My favorite present by far.. well, actually the whole family.

So much fun, we all have been playing this non-stop since we got back from our family Christmas.

Yep, we cranked up the Kinect finally for Christmas. Great fun. We'll ow long its legs are.

I suspect it will continue to thrive in some limited areas. It will go awhile between uses, but then we'll have a blowout as a new game or app drops.

I don't expect any hardcore games, or any kind of sports games to be worth buying. But Dance Central and some other party games will see it get its fair share of use.

Still using EA Sports Active 2 and Kinect Sports. I don' think its the "now" with Kinect it's the "what's next". I really think MS has much bigger plans.

Kinect was a huge hit at my house yesterday. The kids really enjoyed it and Kinect sports is pretty darn good. The beach Volleyball game is amazing as is the track and field. I'm not big on motion controlled video gaming technology but this is much better than the Wii to me.

The Wii has it moments, but I can't keep my kids off the Kinect thus far. We will see how much it's used a month or two down the road.

I hope the next games that come out for it are just as fun as the 3 we have picked up for it so far.
