No s**t, they're calling everything. Sopel's last call was meh. Huge goal by the Flyers on the PP, what do ya know, park yourself in front of Niemi if you want to score more. They have to shoot more with the man advantage. Best period yet of the series.

Another terrible start for the flyers, but 1-1 looks a lot better than 3-0.

Weak call on Hossa's goalie interference. It didn't matter as Sharp evened things up as Leighton kills any momentum that the Flyers had going. He should have stopped that puck. I think Laviolette will keep a short leash on him from now on, he's got no choice.

Keith makes up for falling down and starts the 4 on 4 game tying goal. Kane draws three guys to set up the Ladd deflection and it 3-2 Hawks.

20 minutes until Toews raises Cup.

20 minutes like the first 20 minutes and we'll see the cup. God, I want this so bad. Please, hockey gods. Please.

That Hossa call was a f***in joke but I think it pissed the Hawks off.

Considering what's at stake, I am puzzled as to why the Flyers are not showing more desperation in their game. Hawks are playing smart Hockey, keeping their shifts short and if anything, they had more chances to stretch the lead than the host team tying the game.

Having said that, Niemi has been huge with 5 minutes to go.

Edit: Hartnell ties it, keep breathing Hawks fans. :)

WOW...That was a bit of a let down...Its a been a great game except for the refs so to OT we go.

Must give Flyers credit. They never ever give up.

Nothing like gettiing the Stanley Cup winning goal in OT....Can anyone say Big Buff?

What a sport.
Im not going to be able to breathe in OT .
Hopefully Philly will just be on a massive push to open ot and i wont have to deal with any Hawks chances.

Great head-fake by Crazy-Taxi. Timonen is still looking for his jockstrap.

Weird way to end it but congrats to the Blackhawks. Can't believe how young that team is.

Congrats to the Hawks, you were the best team all year and in the playoffs.

Sad that it ended on a marshmallow-soft goal, but the Flyers wouldn't have even made the playoffs without Leighton so I can't kill the guy too much. He's the not first goalie to let the pressure of the Finals get to him.

If they all stay with Chicago that's a pretty damn scary thought!

I thought my sound went out too....but it was just that Arena going absolutely silent in disbelief - not just that they lost but still figuring out if the puck went in or not.

Figures that Kane and Sharp would get the crucial goals tonight... they could have so easily been playing for the other team in this series. :(

Wow! I feel like those guys in the commercial. Don't know what to say. When I think of all the shitty games I saw in person in the early 00's, watching games on Sportsvision as a kid, watching them get beaten during all of their 80's playoff runs... it's a lot to process.

Yes, it would periodically go out for a couple seconds at a time. Annoying. I figured it was just typical timewarner cable lousy service but I guess it was a problem with the feed.

I know I left out a lot of guys but those were the Olympics dudes :D

EDIT: Ive never enjoyed being on a bandwagon more! :P ...Plus I think the Habs helped 8)( by beating the Pens not in the way the Flyers beat the f*** out of them.)

This is really cool. :D

What a series and what a great end to an incredible turn around for the Blackhawks.

I mean when you think about this team that five short years ago were dead in the water. . .hemorrging money, and practically giving tickets away, to be able to flip the switch and in YEAR TWO into a title run bring the cup home. It's going to be one of the greatest stories in all of sports when we look back at it in the future.

With their core, this is going to be a contending team for quite some time and no one should be surprised if they are back next year hoisting the hardware again in 2011. . .

Kudos to the Flyers for an incredible run. . .probably a goalie away from another solid run next year. . .

Anyway, a perfect end to a great season for the Hawks. . .looks like I'll be working downtown sometime in the next few days to catch the parade :)

Wrigleyville is up for grabs. One of those nights when domestic bliss in the 'burbs isn't all it's cracked up to be. :)

Love to see them bring the Cup to the Cubs-Sox series this weekend. That would be a great moment.

Also now that I'm getting my voice, I'd like to thank Bill Wirtz for dropping dead and Rocky for having a lick of business sense.

Somewhere Dale Tallon is really smiling.

Just talked to my Dad down in FLA and he sounded like a teenager!

Seriously? That's how it ends? Wow.

In fairness, the hawks were the better team the last 2 games and deserving winners, but what anticlimactic end to an entertaining series. Congrats hawks.

Because I am Debbie downer though, I have to point out that the hawks have to deal with some serious cap issues before they become kings of the league the next few years. Campbell, Hossa and Huet have pretty onerous contracts, and they have already committed $18 million in salary increases to Toews, Kane and Keith for next year.

When Kane skated downt the ice to celebrate I just kept telling my wife, this better not be disallowed or they'll be shattered!! LOL Very odd ending.

Of course you are 100% correct about their cap issues, but their core is monstrous despite those issues. Hossa was worth every dime, though.

I really can't say anything more then this. I'm 44 years old, I watched the Bears win a Superbowl, the Braves win a series and UConn win several national championships but before tonight I never had tears in my eyes after a win.

WTG Hawks, can't wait for the parade.
