I look forward to the media applying the same criticisms to Fergie that they give to Benitez and no doubt the following points will be brought up;

1) United beat Bolton convincingly 4-0 on March 27th. Then Ferguson makes four changes to the starting line-up and they lose 2-1 to Chelsea. Then he makes another three changes and they lose today. Clearly United have lost because of Fergie's squad rotation policies. How can the United players get into a rhythm when they're being changed all the time?!?! I mean Darron Gibson scores against Bolton but then he's on the bench against Chelsea - what kind of message does that send to a young player?

2) If Rooney is fit to start the match then he's fit right? So why does Fergie take him off? Clearly he doesn't value the Champions League and these kind of negative tactics cost him the game. He's been United's best player by far this season so to take him off is madness!

3) United's controversial man-marking on set pieces has let them down again. When will Fergie learn?

Just been watching the highlights on TV - unfortunately it was ITV, so the commentary was even more biased than Sky.

Before kickoff - "and Fergie has pulled another masterstroke here as Rooney starts".

Rooneywatch - lasts 55 minutes, looks to have worsened his injury. United knocked out of CL and have damaged their PL chances.

Now I don't have a dictionary in reach, but I'm pretty sure that if I look up 'masterstroke', then that won't be the definition....unless I'd written it

Fergie`s upset about "typical Germans" - very angry about how they crowded the referee after Rafael's foul.

I agree with him, don't like it when teams do that;

Don't feel too bad United fans, full three points this weekend since Big Sam will be no doubt more than happy to bend over and take a big pounding from his buddy Sir Alex (see 'gesture-gate' from last season).

Agree Macca. However MU does it all the time and their constant appealing for fouls is sickening. Ugh, do they wish they've kept Tevez. Berbatov should have replaced Gibson at the same time with O'Shea for Rooney, bad decision by Fergie.

No English teams in the final. Oh well the players can prepare better now for the WC. They'll have to.

Well, Sepp, that's because English clubs are established, by and large, as limited companies which have to follow appropriate rules, like not trading insolvently. And because Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs are no longer secured creditors, and hence want their pound of flesh first.

Of course, you'd prefer the Spanish model, based upon 'socio' membership.

Real power of 'socios' to secure change, or run the club ? Absolutely nil.

Number of clubs who didn't owe their players at least 2 months back wages, or at least 6 months back taxes - 6.

I dont know, Bayern look like their destined to win it this year.

If I remember correctly, they barely escaped the group stages, survived Fiorentina with an offside goal and a wonder strike.

They get another wonder strike yesterday.

I'll say it know, they will beat Barca to win the Champions League.

Also United have their striker

Manchester United have signed Javier Hernandez from Mexican side Chivas. And will play in the new Chivas Stadium in July.
First mexican they have ever signed, and first time in Mexico as well.

Ray Hudson just said that a diving striker, "went down like a big girl's blouse." I don't even know wtf that means, but it cracked me up.

Hudson is out of his mind 90% of the time, but I'd rather listen to his ravings than just about any other "analyst."

Not the way Messi can singlehandledly change a game. The Bavarians will be stronger in midfield than Arsenal, but I have my money for the Spanish side.

Hudson's a nut, but an entertaining nut. The UD definition:

A male displaying percieved feminine characteristics through actions which cause his peers to think less of him.

Being a big girls blouse is much worse than being just a girls blouse, thus its highly insulting nature. Also used to force a man to do something they fear through peer pressure.
