It is nice to see the Saints finally playing at a high level in the NFL. Back when I was on the 1981 team, the fans showed up with bags on their heads calling themselves the "Aints"....can't say I blame them as I believe we were 0 -fer for the season at this point....took 28 years for a complete reversal in fortunes, but it has been worth the wait and I am excited for the city of New Orleans.

It maybe a reach or a hunch but I see Bilichick leaving the Patriots in a year or two especially if Brady calls it quits. The team looks old and they no longer have the "system players" that Scott Pioli was famous for finding. He's also lost a ton of coaches to other teams.
Pats had to go youthful while keeping the aging stars on offense, probably for cap reasons. They tried to fit in an old Galloway and it didn't work out.
Colts have done better with bringing in younger players to replace older stars like James and Harrison. But their defense is suspect too.
Despite how well the Saints played, their defense is vulnerable. But if the offense could be explosive like last night, it may not matter.
Of course, if they have the uncapped year like the owners are threatening, you could see many of these teams load up for a run.

Nah, that would cost too much money to add all of those new clutching, grabbing, and holding animations. Maybe they'll release it as downloadable content. They can add those animations for the Pats and Steelers secondaries and maybe add some clueless animations for the Bears offense.

Minnesota fans were pretty much already buying flights to the Super Bowl, but after seeing how well the Saints played last night, people around here are terrified and are almost ready to throw up the white flag. The Saints are going to face the Colts in the Super Bowl, no doubt about that now. The Vikings can NOT hang with them for 60 minutes.

I wouldn't bet the house on the Colts, my friend. They have looked vulnerable the last few weeks.
The AFC is more wide open than you think. The Chargers are playing the best football in the AFC right now. I also think the Titans -- another hot team -- are going to give the Colts quite a fight this Sunday if their recent form and Vince Young's reincarnation of Fran Tarkenton continue.
The Bengals also shouldn't be overlooked in the AFC. Their defense is nasty stingy, and that's what wins in the playoffs.
But it sure looks like the Vikes and the Saints are the class of the NFC. I don't think the Cowboys can hang with either.

They're built like the Ravens, strong defense, conservative, power-running offense.
But in the playoffs, you may be forced to put up more points. Or teams which get hot on offense with big plays are able to upset teams, as the Cards showed last year.
Bengals have good offensive players but really wonder if they can just turn it on after playing close to the vest most of the season.
There are still 5 games left. Key injuries could upset everything. Last year this time, Giants were favored.
