Mac,
You need to let us know what is going on, I understand your job means a hectic schedule but I need to at least be able to say that when you can't play you will leave the league so no ones games are getting simmed.
Please answer and if you don't have the time right now i would prefer you leave, because if i boot you then you can't get back in.

In a tough defensive struggle, the Redskins sneaked past the visiting Broncos 9-7 thanks to a last second field goal from Sean Suisham..
The Broncos missed two long, 50+ yd field goals in the game, and the Redskins got to halftime with a slim 6-0 lead thanks to a last second FG to end the half. Hunter 'the punter' Smith had pinned the Bronces inside their own 10 with under a minute to go in the half. With their opponents pinned deep in the shadow of their own goal posts, the Redskins opted to use their first half time outs to try to gain whatever advantage they could from the field position.
It worked out well. On 3rd down, Orton threw a deep ball that was intercepted by DeAngelo Hall near the 50 yard line.

DeAngelo Hall intercepts Kyle Orton with less than a minute to go in the first half.
With only a few seconds left in the half, Cambpell found Devin Thomas deep down the middle to get the Redskins in field goal range, and luckily they had a time out or they wouldn't have been able to stop the clock.

Devin Thomas with his only catch of the game; it turned out to be a crucial one.
Sean Suisham hit the short field goal to make the score 6-0 at the half.
The second half demonstrated equally anemic offensive efforts from both teams until the Broncos were able to put a good drive together in the final quarter. They drove the ball 75 yards and finished it off with a touchdown run from their lithe fullback to take the lead 7-6 with less than 4 minutes remaining in the game.
But Campbell and the Redskins would not be denied. The embattled QB, who did not throw an interception in this game, led his team down the field, with a key play being a 22 yd catch and run by Santana Moss on a drag route that got the ball inside the Broncos 40 yd line.

Jason Campbell throws to Santana Moss on the game-winning drive in the 4th quarter.
A few plays later, and the Redskins had forced Denver to use all their time outs and had moved the ball inside the 20. Letting the clock tick down, the Skins called a time out with 4 seconds remaining, and Sean Suisham won the game as time expired with an easy field goal. Redskins win, 9-7 and improve to 6-3 while the Broncos fall to 4-5 on the season.
Next up, the Redskins head to Dallas to face the Cowboys (and their unearthly scoreboard) for the first time this season, and continue their season-ending stretch of 9 vs human games out of 10. The Broncos head home to face the hopefully MacMan controlled San Diego Chargers in a key division battle.
Great game, Danimal. It was a tough struggle for both offenses. Those two missed, 50 yd field goals turned out to be key, as was your decision to throw deep at the end of the first half rather than run the ball and force me to use my last time out. But at the time, who knew? Of course, that pitch to Portis that you intercepted with your personally controlled D Tackle was the THRID time this online season that has happened to me. Really weird, because it's so random!

Eagles owner I was looking at the website it looks like macman left the franchise this morning, so it looks like you can play the game vs the CPU. I'm not sure why he didn't post but if you read this try and get it in, I won't advance to midnight.
Wayne not sure where you are but this will be your second sim game, please check in.
EDIT: Sorry looks like he just left not this morning. I have no idea what he is doing but play the game.

Well sh*t.
Last chance Wayne. I'm going to bed in an hour.
There's something to be said for keeping this to the people whose fingers automatically go for the 'D' when firing up your browser, you know?
That said, I did not contact him until this morning, as I had a busy couple days. Last time we interacted was when I mistakenly scheduled Jets/Jags for last Tuesday, not knowing I actually had a bye week instead. Realized my error and dropped him a VM on Live that night. This morning was my first effort to get the real thing scheduled. Figured Wayne would check in at some point.

I had sat off and tried to get in the game with eman then but our schedules didn't work out. Sunday I was running late for work in the morning so I quickly logged out of the league before leaving but didn't have a chance to post that I'd left. Hopefully eman got his game in against the cpu:(Danimal wrote:Eagles owner I was looking at the website it looks like macman left the franchise this morning, so it looks like you can play the game vs the CPU. EDIT
I'll also add that I would've left the league Wednesday night but figured I'd get the chance to play against eman sat. Didn't work out that way:(
I posted here Saturday around 5pm est (the time stamp is way off on these messages) and made myself available Sunday. When did you try to reach me Saturday? I never recieved an email or message here.
Sunday I was available all day. Oh well, I should have tried to reach you earlier in the week.

Exactly where did you try to contact him in this thread? I see he posted several times and he contacted me saying he couldn't reach you. How did your schedules not work out when it appears he had no direct contact with you from his messagemacsomjrr wrote:I had sat off and tried to get in the game with eman then but our schedules didn't work out. Mac right now I would prefer if you didn't rejoin the league with your current schedule. I don't want to boot you because then you can't come back if your schedule changes, but right now i think it best if you sat out for a while.
Also for those of you apparently unaware this far into the season the sim schedule is posted in the first message of this thread. Here it is.
SIM SCHEDULE
Monday 1am CST - Weds. Midnight CST (M-W effectively)
Thursday 1am CST - Sunday Midnight CST (Thr - Sun Effectively)
I'm not going to lose owners because they get a sim loss and they are in the playoff race while other people get caught up doing something and don't know the GD schedule.
Maybe I am cranky because I am sick but there is a good core here that wants tio play and I have the same handful of people that I keep hearing about.

Quick right up on Falcons visiting the CPU Panthers...
Game was played in a driving rain storm and once again the Falcons won a game that they looked like they were trying to give away...final score 21-13. Falcons had 3 turnovers, one being a pick six that the panthers took back 96 yards for the first score of the game. If the Falcons can't fix their turnover woes and soon, it could get ugly.

K I can respect that. I'll stay out for the rest of the season. I can definitely appreciate how annoying it can be to chase people around for games and I don't want to continue to be "that guy." I love the league and I love the games but it just isn't in the cards right now - stupid real-life! Good luck to everyone!Danimal wrote: Mac right now I would prefer if you didn't rejoin the league with your current schedule. Mac -
Thanks for understanding, this kind of response is exactly why i didn't want to boot you. Sometimes real life is just too busy, maybe our schedule will alter in year 2 and it will work out. I do appreciate you seeing it from the other owners views.
Now this last part is going out to a very small percentage of people. If you bag out on a game with another owner without an excuse or with an excuse at the last minute or after the fact it's being noted.
We had two teams in the hunt for the playoffs had to have their games simmed and they both lost. That's how owners leave, and I won't be having that. I won't call anyone out specifically because these people should know who they are. If i ever have to miss a game again i will transfer commish to Zep and leave the league until the week is advanced.
I'm going to do my best to make this league fun for the people playing and contributing and if that means being a complete dick and eliminating a few people so the league runs better that is what i will do.

In a battle of what has become bitter rivalry in the eyes of Cleveland fan's had playoff atmosphere as the Browns hosted the Ravens in a mid season Monday night match up. With the Ravens already winning the first meeting (when Scoop was on IR) the battle for the division lead was at stake. In other big news of the game, the two big names Lewis (Ray) and Lewis (Jamal) were both sidelined with injuries.
Cleveland won the toss and elected to kick the ball. Baltimore took the ball and showed they wanted to control the clock. Eating up nearly 5 minutes of clock they capped their drive with a 5 yard TD run by Peerman (sorry Scoop I didn't upload your scores).
On the ensuing drive the Browns marched down the field with a balanced mix. With 30 seconds to go in the first Quinn came to the huddle and called on Jerome Harrison yet again, this time he broke one big and took it 33 yards to pay dirt.
><embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed><[/url]
After two scoring drives by each team that ate up the first quarter, both teams D's settled down. Things were quite until the Browns offense got the ball off a turnover and made quick work of things. Brady Quinn made a pass few would attempt and threaded the needle into triple coverage to his TE Steve Heiden for a 9 yard TD pass. (unfortunately the video bug cut the replay off......thanks EA)
The Browns went to half with a 7 point lead but not without a controversial decision. The Ravens drove the length of the field in a 2 minute offense and got it inside the 5yd line. With one time out left and under 5 seconds on the clock, Baltimore passed on the easy 3 points and went for the tie. On a quick pass to the sideline the receiver was stopped short of the goal line and was forced out. 14-7 at the Half.
Cleveland's next score came with 3:13 to go in the 3rd on the foot of Phil Dawson who hit a 43 yd field goal giving the Browns a two possession lead.
Baltimore took possession and began a drive similar to their opener, eating clock and moving the ball. Things fell apart as BIG Shaun Rogers got penetration continuing his huge presence on the inside. He hit Flacco as he threw and Kamerion Wimbley was in the right spot to get the pick six. Wimbley rumbled 49 yards as the 3rd quarter expired giving Cleveland some more breathing room.
><embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed><
Baltimore would tack on a late score with a 14yd TD pass from Flacco to Williams.
The final..........Cleveland 24 Baltimore 14
In the end the injuries for each team played out with mixed results. The Ravens missed Ray Lewis. The touchdown pass to Heiden may not have gotten in there with Lewis patrolling the middle. Jerome Harrison proved he is a worthy backup to Jamal as he took advantage of the missing Ray Lewis and rumbled for 159 yards and 13 carries including a long of 52 yards plus the 33 yard TD romp.
Quinn was 10 of 16 for 122 yards and left the game briefly with a minor injury. For those curious, Anderson was 1 for 2 ZERO yards.
Flacco aired it out and was 24 of 35 for 265 yards but threw 3 picks.
Scoop, great game brother! Not to take anything from this win for me, but all I can think about is not having to play the CPU when you were hurt. Not that I would have won, but I can't help but wonder.
The Browns now take command of the AFC North and I think both of us are looking at the end of our schedules when we both face Terry and the Raiders in weeks 15 and 16 prospectively.

Broncos lose to the CPU Chargers 17-12 on the biggest Bs call in the history of me playing video game football.
Great game and the Chargers are up 17-3 with 6 minutes left, I drive down and have 1st and goal on the 2 and the Chargers stop me on 4 plays.
I then manage to get a safety in the end zone so it is 17-5.
I get the punt and move down field and score finally on a crossing pass toe Deuce. Score 17-12, 2:07 left.
I go for the onside kick which I actually recover!
I march down the field their is 22 seconds left I have the ball on the 12 yard line. I hit Marshall in the end zone, pass is high he goes up and gets hit as he comes down the ball is jarred free. Incomplete pass right? No they rule it a fumble (not possible since it was in the end zone if it was a catch it was a TD) which is returned for a TD but their was a penalty flag.
Clipping.
Well surely the game will go into challenge mode and overturn this call and I'll get a few more shots. Nope game over I lose.
Frustrating, but man I have lost the ability to generate any offense with the Broncos.
