ESPN MLB 2004....Need help from the pro's!

Post by einmanXP »

Have some pretty stupid questions, proably just looking over something:

1. How do you set the camera so it is not dependent on home or away team. I have to filp pitcher and Low Wide depening if I am home or away. What am I missing?

2. Any way to increase CPU trade intellignece. I have pulled off some real doozers. CIN-F.Lopez for NYM-Jose Reyes I know their ratings are only 10 apart, but still. Might just need to be ethical, but my Reds need help!!

3. Is the leadoff bug fixed? I still get picked off like I am leading off with Ruben Stiuddard over there.

I am playing one game a series and having a blast. Nice game. Thanks for the help.

I don't think there is a solution for the first two points, but as for pickoffs, I know there is a slider that handles how often the CPU attempts pickoff throws. Turn it down, and that should help you a bit.

Einmn, hugo's right, you have to go in and change the camera each time you switch from home to away. A minor annoyance.

As for trades, I would say you have to use a good judgment rule. I will accept anything the CPU sends my way, as dumb trades do happen, but I won't deliberately try and screw the AI.

If you're extending your lead manually, you have to hit the right trigger to jump back. Runners will move back on their own, but they will react quicker if you do it. BTW, I rarely take a lead at 2nd any more. For some reason, I have a very hard time reacting to the spin pickoff and was getting nailed too much.

Yeah, but mine is of a human being, Slingin' Sammy with a football. I still have no clue what is depicted in that image under Slumber's name!

That, my dear hugo, is a picture of the "scoops" from Soylent Green clearing a mob. It is a little unintelligible, I agree.

Yes, sorry, it was the b&w images -- it is, after all, so easy to mix up Sammy Baugh with citizens being recycled into food in a futuristic dystopia.

So, yes, I agreed with Slumber.

Aah, perhaps if I had seen the movie, I would have recognized the image. I need to see that one, it's a sci-fi classic, and I love sci-fi.

Ah! I always thought it was a b/w screen cap from the parade scene in Animal House LOL

I thought it looked kinda like the boat in Zelda taking a trip down a street.
