I was waiting for you. I have a server ready to go. I could do tonight, tomorrow, or Thursday night at 10:30pm EDT. I will go ahead and setup the server tonight regardless of which night we go with so that folks can test it out since it has been awhile since my servers were up.pk500 wrote:Fellas:
This should come as no surprise, but I have Indy fever after working the race on site for three weeks.
If anyone wants to run the IndyCar Series 2009 mod from rFactor at Indy some night, let me know!
Thanks,

Another Wii hands-on take, this time from Eurogamer:toonarmy wrote:IGN have posted a hands-on article about the F1 game coming later in the year for the Wii. Lots of useful impressions in the article.

So far the game looks like it may be really good. Interestingly, the previewer says that the classic controller offers the best control due to its shoulder buttons. I'm glad to see Codies making use of the classic controller for this game for people who do not want to go the route of the wiimote/wheel.
I'm far from a graphics' whore, but the graphics in those screens at the Eurogamer preview are horrific. Those are PSX-quality graphics.toonarmy wrote:They say there is a great sense of speed and that KERS will be modeled somehow. From reading the article, it looks as if Codies are trying to implement a lot of the little details into the game. The main downside at this point is, you guessed it, graphics.
As has been highlighted in the comments thread, the screenshots feature Jarno Trulli's move to Force India and McLaren's new commitment to entering at least 4 cars every race, so I guess these shots are from the very early stages of development. I would certainly hope so, since they're "don't stare, children!" ugly.pk500 wrote:I'm far from a graphics' whore, but the graphics in those screens at the Eurogamer preview are horrific. Sweet, let me know when you want to try to meet up and race, although my guess is that you are already well beyond my class level.pk500 wrote:This mod has made iRacing a damn dream for me. I've really had a change of heart regarding iRacing, as the proverbial Red Sea has parted and I now "get it" when it comes to the racing league setup. More on that in separate post.
No, I'm still at Rookie 3.04. I just started last week, and I haven't been racing a ton. But I'm really enjoying it.DChaps wrote:Yeah, I did a similar Squash ball mod for my now very aging Red Logitech Momo that gave good results.

I tried iRacing again too, they hooked me with the 3 months for $25.00 promotion. I am really enjoying it this time around. The cost of moving up is still too high, but I'm having a great time in the Legends and Spec Racer Ford. Let's do some racing, look me up Patrick Wood.DChaps wrote:Yeah, I did a similar Squash ball mod for my now very aging Red Logitech Momo that gave good results.

I have added you and Don to my friends list. I will be out of town until Monday but back to racing as soon as I get home.pk500 wrote:Patrick:
Yep, the Legends car is an absolute hoot. I practiced the other night at Lanier and ran side-by-side, inside-out with a guy for about 20 consecutive laps of oval delight. It was the best oval racing I've ever enjoyed with a stranger in sim racing, hands down.
The name I'm running under is Dan Skiver. Add me to your Friends list!
Take care,

Just did the same, man. It feels weird for me to race under an alias, but I'll do what's needed to continue to be a cheap bastard!WPatrick wrote:I have added you and Don to my friends list. I will be out of town until Monday but back to racing as soon as I get home.pk500 wrote:Patrick:
