Is it manning up after you are caught? I guess i have a different definition, right now, I call it positive spin control to salvage fans opinions of him.
Manning up would of been on the cbs interview, or coming forward on his own.
But that's just how I feel.

Well, he could have said I tried it once and realize it was wrong and never did it again. Kind of like the same B.S. Pettite gave. But heck, he admitted doing it for three seasons. While I don't condone it, at least he sounds like he was being as honest as can be.

As for the comment about college recruiting, the point is that there are plenty of things to taint sports. College sports have gotten so ridiculous that "student athlete" is a punchline. These pampered little shits are an insult to everyone like me who had to balance full courseloads with working and going into debt to get a college degree. That bothers me much more than whether A-Rod used a Balco-provided d*****.
This is where you and I differ.. this isn't even close to players who take PED's to cheat the game in my book... and for me, it ruins my enjoyment.

What a f*cking fraud.
Take care,

No kidding. The really stupid thing is he had no real reason to take steroids. He is extremely talented and would have likely had almost the exact same career arc without them, with perhaps a few less HRs.

And from time to time, looks left, up, down, measuring carefully every single word that comes out of his big lips while waiting for crocodiles tears that just wouldn't come out.

A classic case of CYA, a guy trying to restore his reputation and keep even the slightest sliver of endorsement possibilities while he still has many years of playing time left.
While an initial liar, A-Rod finally showed more stones than Bonds, Clemens and McGwire. The common thread among those three is that their respective careers were near the end or over when their steroid use was exposed, so they didn't feel the financial need to be honest.
I dont agree. They are all liars and didn't fess up until they were force to.
Just like Michael Vick. ARod had no choice but to say something after those "sources" reported their findings to S.I. How can you put ARod above Bonds and McGwire? All liars.

Maybe his career overall but caught a brief bit of Sportscenter where they said in the years he admitted, his HR numbers were up by an average of 12.
In the ESPN interview, he's groveling so much. At this point, his career numbers are going to be under a cloud of suspicion so he might as well walk away and go off with Madonna.
