"Rez" is coming to the XBLA. I never played it, but I know there's a big cult following for it. It looks trippy as hell. (side note:when's 'Food Fight' coming to xbla?)

Wonder how this will compare to "DIRT"?
I am still amazed that DIRT got such little fanfare here
at DSP. It used to be that the Colin Mcrae games were like
the holy grail of racing games around here.

Another side-effect of the "PK switches to PC" phenomenon.

You know, I think if DIRT had a good online play you would have heard more about it here. As it is I think a lot of DSPers really enjoyed the single-player game and left it at that.

Some of the developer vids I've seen of Sega Rally on the marketplace are pretty amazing but I don't anticipate it being a sim-game at all. It looks like it can be pretty darn fun though. I'm stuck at work until god knows when today so I won't get a chance to play the demo until tonight if at all today.

You guys give PK way too much credit. (No offense PK) I see plenty of people on nightly and have no problems getting games.

Is it the fact that everyone misses a drunk guy yelling profanities during a gaming session? :)

In this case I'm just referring to the fact PK would always hype the CMR series, and organized that DSP rally a bunch of years ago. When PK left, the CMR series lost it most vocal DSP voice.

If thats what's missed, just play COD4 beta with me. I spare no expense when it comes to throwing profanities. Hell, I even curse when I am the one doing all the killing LOL

C'mon now! Give PK a little more credit than that! I think he contributed a little more than drunk profanities. :P

NBA 2K8 demo is up on live. I have not had a chance to download, but saw that it was posted (Major Nelson's Blog).

Apparently it's nothing... just support for a big-buttoned controller that's coming out this winter, so that the dev teams can playtest it.

I purchased The Cars album for Rock Band last night and its damn fun stuff. I'm a big fan of The Cars so it was a no brainer. While playing "Moving in Stereo" all I could think of was Phoebe Cates in Fast Times :D

I just tried out the Soul Caliber trial game on the arcade, and holy cow I can't believe how awesome that game was. It still seems to hold up very well, with great lighting and a solid graphical style. Amazing to me that it is an XBL arcade game. 'Welcome back to the stage of history,' indeed! Does it have online head to head? Do I really need to get the new one after going back to the DC classic?

Lack of online play is one of the things the reviewer complained about, but was still diggin' the game.

There is free DLC for RSV2 and it supposedly is also a patch. Not sure if anyone still has this or not.
