Dig the Mello Yello car, Terry. I have been thinking about giving a Days of Thunder car or two a shot. Who doesn't want to drive the#46 City Chevrolet?
I really wish this game had an AI difficulty slider instead of pre-set Easy/Medium/Hard AI settings. I'm not good enough to hold on to a car fast enough to really compete on the Hard level, but I can dumb down the veteran setting and destroy the Medium field. I might try using the Easy set-up as a base and see how that goes against Medium for the time being.
I still can't get over how improved this game is vs. last year.

Good golly miss Molly, wow that looks awesome Naples. I'll snag it later tonight. As i've said why bother making your own cars when you can just download them from Naples, Terry and Teal.
Hey Teal shoot me a request so I can download your cars too. Btw what's the total car limit that you can download to your hard drive? Also I was using one of Terry's cars but I see it shows up as #100 on the race standings instead of the actual number of the car. Is there anyway to get the car number to match the race standing?
Btw, nice work Terry !

You have to modify your driver info to be whatever number you want it to be. What I try to do is to go and change the driver, then go to the locker and start a new car. Choose the font (since it displays your font in the standings), and then the base paint and number paint to match the skin I'll be downloading. Then go into the locker and download the file. When you're done, you will see the number in the standings page that at least somewhat resembles your car, and it will have the number you assigned for your driver.Rodster wrote:I was using one of Terry's cars but I see it shows up as #100 on the race standings instead of the actual number of the car. Terry I did that (edit Deiver Info) and the number starts at 100 and ends at 199. Am I in the right place?TCrouch wrote:You have to modify your driver info to be whatever number you want it to be. Naples, your #46 City Chevrolet is the sh*t.

Would anyone be interested in doing a NASCAR 09 Sprint Cup season?
Here is what I have in mind. We'd all start out by picking a real driver and use their car to race on 10 different TBD tracks over the course of a "season." All cars would be required to race using the default veteran set-up so that more experienced racers couldn't tweak their cars and effectively destroy all rookies. As far as I know picking real drivers and not our custom cars means that performance points won't effect each car (although each driver has their own ratings for each track type). Each race would consist of a practice session (10-15 minutes), a qualifying session and then a 15% race depending on the track. All four track types would be represented.
Track/Race Settings
Race Length: 15%
Wear Factor: x3
Pit Stops Required: Between 1-2 depending on the track
Damage: On
Collisions: On
Flag Rules: Full
Points
Points would be awarded based on where you finish according to modified version of NASCAR's current point system. No extra points for leading a lap or leading the most laps. 1st: 185, 2nd: 170, 3rd: 165, 4th: 160, 5th: 155, 6th: 150, etc...
We could try and do one or two races a week but I'm guessing having a set time period (i.e. Wednesday night, 7:30pm PST) would be easier for everyone. If you couldn't make a race you'd get a DNF and get the least amount of points (but still some points). After each race I'd update a cup thread with the results similar to the EURO 2008 league we got going.
Very casual, but organized. Show up on race day, practice a bit, qualify and then race. What's so hard about that?

It's a good concept mac, but with my current schedule I am not sure it I can do it weekly and definitely not the time that usually everyone starts at. I may just squeeze by a poker night here & there but we'll see. Another rule of thumb, everyone else should have a two lap advantage' on Terry and his Bro.

Just testing the waters to see what kind of response I get. I know how you guys feel about not wanting to commit and letting the rest of the field down on race day. Maybe we could just try and get a decent "Poker Night" race field going on a certain day? This game is going to be around for awhile without anything to topple it from its 360 racing throne for awhile so no hurry. I'll post over at OS too and see if anyone there wants in.10spro wrote:It's a good concept mac, but with my current schedule I am not sure it I can do it weekly and definitely not the time that usually everyone starts at. Has anyone filled up their stable with created designs yet? If so, how many are allowed? I only have 3 in there, that I know of, yet it won't let me upload my TMNT car. Doesn't the thing hold like eight?

Terry said he seems to be capped at about 7. I think I have 4 in mine at the moment, though to get up cars 3 and 4 I had to try a second or third time.Teal wrote:Has anyone filled up their stable with created designs yet? In-game I think it actually says your locker is 10mb.
