I think it will be online dynasty but that is not massive to me,

I REALLY hope they vamp up the presentation this year. I do love the intro in NHL 2k8.. gets me more pumped to play.

Speaking of NHL 2k.. didn't I read somewhere they are rebuilding the game from the ground up?

Human goalies suck.

In fact, 3 humans on a team is about the most you'd want.

Ranked OTP games or OTP stat tracking would be the thing, as well as more refinement in how OTP games gather and launch.

Like the ability to launch any time rather than waiting for the counter to go down, especially if there are people who join the OTP room but stay in the middle.

Ability for players to change teams in the position-select screen. Maybe even after game has started.

Maybe a large outdoor arena or a pond hockey rink, that would be sweet.

Hopefully they add the option of setting up custom best of 7 game series, but anyhow the be a pro mode sounds really good.

I just hope that this time EA gives us the option to play 6-7-8 minutes games instead of the conventional 5 & 10 minutes per period.

I disagree. I've had some great very enjoyable games using human goalies. Yes the scores are generally higher, but if they tune it just a little, I think it could be very fun to have full 6 on 6 games. Of course, it would take a rather dedicated group of guys to play sound positionally.

Thats your opinion i guess maybe you should say most i'd want as it couldnt be further from the truth for me, 5 on 5 or even 6 on 6 with goalies is the ultimate. Your probly one of the players i wouldnt want to rely on playing his position.
And for the record there are some damn fine goalies out there.

"Be a Pro" mode will be cool and I hope for more human like Goalies, I thought 08 had many impossible saves.

Of course it's an opinion.

It's also an observation that human goalies tend to drift out of position or overcompensate to one side and give up easy goals.

That's one thing, in the position-select screen, if some asshole insists on selecting goalie, it would be nice to boot him.

Its no different than a human playing any other position on the ice, if he not disciplined then hell be out of position.

Just dsp poker nights alone the goalie thing wasnt that bad.

The thing that made this series great is the same thing that is holding it back now , the skill stick.
It is too restricting now as the series moves forward as a package it needs to be fine tuned with some different animations like evading and protecting the puck you need to be able to still skate and stick handle.

If 2k tightens up their pro stick and redoes the ai in single player ill be looking to them first this time.
Ea made 08 feel less organic scoring wise than 07 they need to bring that back for sure.

Ill be getting both for sure again, liked them both in 08.
