10 minutes away from the kickoff of the final day of the Championship. Who goes up, who makes the playoffs, does my Wednesday join Simo? I'm nervous

Watched Stoke v Leicester live, with feeds at the bottom of the screen.

Gratz to squid's Owls for saving themselves with a 4-1 win after being 1-0 down early on, and Leicester have their first ever relegation to League One after Southampton won 3-2.

Stoke promoted to the Premiership, but by Christ I wouldn't pay to watch them if it was 15 pence. They'll put in a stirling effort to beat Derby's record low of 11 points, and given the reputation of their neanderthal fans, there will also be a few police forces awaiting the fixture list in summer.

Breath easy, Squid ! :D

Bet you were kacking yerself when Norwich went one up

Glad to see you stayed up, and that the tiresome Holloway went down.

Stoke just remind me of Bolton or Wimbledon, big hoofball. Anyone who watched their game without having seen the table would have been hard pressed to identify which team was going down and which was going up.

It suddenly struck me when they were talking about Leicester never having been in the third tier, it's almost 10 years to the day since City pulled off the same trick by winning 5-2 there, and watching the three teams above us all win away and send us down. The only difference this time is that our win took Stoke down with us.

WBA is fun to watch though Dave. They'll pull a Wigan/Reading and be entertaining their first year up.

Haven't missed one in the past dozen years. A great spectacle no matter what they are playing for. The 'Torneo Clausura' is picking up steam with three teams on top and six games left to play, my Boca's win was as satisfying as always when we beat the 'Gallinas'.

Another game I followed was Inter-Milan. If they continue to play the way they did today, things could get very interesting too for Inter in the Italian league with two games to go. Milan just carried the gameplay from the get go.

In very important US soccer news, the streaker at the Olympic qualifying match in Tampa posed in playboy. (Sorry, the nude pics aren't free web content)

The Tranny hookers admit to lying about Bucky O'Hare. Pity, really.

In other news, Peter Crouch wants 'showdown talks';

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... 93&cc=5901

I feel for him but at the same time he wouldn't start more than 9 EPL matches if he was playing for Man U, Arsenal or Chelsea so if he wants to play for a non-top-4 side (you know, so he can keep his England place....and miss out on major international tournaments because they're too crap to qualify) he's welcome. I'm not worried about cover for Torres because we have Andrei Voronin....wait.....f@ck.

EDIT: Also have to say that, particularly in the first half, the Man City supporters were amazing at Anfield. Because it was the last home game of the season the Liverpool players and coaching staff did a lap of honor and many of them brought their kids....one of my mates told me that the City fans, in response to seeing Stevie Gerrard carrying his two year old chanted something along the lines of 'It's Sven's baby'. Well, if Crouch wants European football next season he can always join City, as we attempt to sneak in the back way again as England's representative in the fair play league - find out within a few days whether we are straight in or go into the draw....which coincidentally enough is at COMS next week before it is invaded by drunken Rangers fans.

Wish I'd entered the ticket ballot now...last confirmed price for a £50 face value ticket was £800.

I wish Fiorentina had won, if it had been them vs St Petersburg I could have got a ticket for a tenner outside the ground.

Dave,

You think Crouch is the type of player Scolari would want? ;) Thaksin's a 'tard.

I hate Rangers and Wally Smith.

I see Crouch going to a team that isn't in Europe. The other big four aren't going to have him. Maybe he goes to Villa. Probably end up at Newscastle haha.

Anyways, I reckon that Big Phil isn't the one we want - after all, he's got no experience of club management, and winning one of the lowest quality WC's ever with Brazil is not exactly like the toughest thing ever.

No, it struck me last night as I was watching Spanish football....City are waiting for a proper club manager, Frank Rijkaard.

And I don't want Peter Crouch either.

Confirmed by Barca that Frankie R has been binned, although their choice of Pep Guardiola seems a risky one.

Come to Eastlands, Frank !

you don't have the money, that's my point! Barcelona, rich club he does well at. Sparta was a poor club and he took them straight down!

He'd be fun to have in the English game though, no doubt. He's no Brian Laws though.

Oh, believe me, we've got the money. Just need an owner who'll keep his nose out.
