The Special One is looking a bit less special today since that wank Grant has led Chelsea to the CL Final, wouldn't you say?
Take care,

Squeaky-bum time yet, Squid ?
Will be watching Stoke v Leicester on Sunday, though I can't really say that I'll be cheering on the Pottites. They play absymal hoofball with a team of big thugs, and their fans are neanderthals.
Hopefully a draw and then you lot win. I can't see Stoke beating Derby's record for lowest number of points, although they were the previous owners of the record.

Yesterday's CL semi was a good warmup for tonight's TFC/New York game in Toronto
. Seriously though - this will be a great game...and it's on ESPN2 I think south of the border? The fans might be a few minutes late because of the 7pm start (it's hard to get parking, etc...) but once it fills up, the place will be nuts.

Well, at least Manchester is safe from the smart suited hordes of BM fans, now hopefully Rangers will get dumped and I can pick up a ticket for the UEFA Cup final cheap.fsquid wrote:I have the Bayern game first, then yes squeaky bum time on Sunday. I told my priest that I can't make church and will be worshiping with the John Pearson at Radio Sheffield.
First sell out of Hillsborough since 2001, should be a great atmosphere.

Well, the Teddy Bears got through, so am now investigating the possibility of getting a ticket for this European extravaganza, given that it is only 3 miles from where I live.

I knew they were touring England, but hadn't heard anything since there were some speculations (probably very unfounded) last week about a Spurs takeover.fsquid wrote:Looks like the management company that owns the Maple Leafs and Toronto FC are interested in possibly buying Sheffield Wednesday. Interesting.
Don't forget - they own the Raptors too. A huge company...but a lot of strange decision making going on. Sometimes it's not clear whether or not making a buck or winning is the real priority. They have the funds, so I guess it could be good for fans if it happens.
Any link to the rumour?

...and the Full Members Cup, and a cup final replay, and the same play-off final that my useless, cretinous lot got to in 2005. They are all finals, though, so technically you're buggered there.fsquid wrote:Did you really throw in the youth academies cup?
Prepared your soul for another year of visiting football cathedrals like the Bescot, Brisbane Road and my beloved Victoria Park yet? Or are you feeling confident, mate?

It's still Jose's team. Ahvram Grant is just Barry Switzer. I bet Grant doesn't last half a season next year after they sit in 8th around Xmas. And the other thing is, who's going to stay. Drogba is gone. I see potentially 6 players leaving at the end of the season. I don't see Chelsea getting 6 quality signing even with all that money.
