If KU plays like they did against Texas a week ago, they have a CHANCE to beat UNC. I won't guarantee a W, but it'll be a hard fought game.ibemacin wrote:Assuming the Tar Heels play the rest of the tournament like they have played Friday and today, this will be the most lopsided NCAA tournament of all time!
Yeah that was total domination. UNC is a great team. It's a shame Hansbrough's bro and Mississippi St. couldn't upset Memphis and get into the sweet 16 as well. I don't think Wazzu has a chance against the Tar Heels but I'm hoping they make it a close game. Besides USC's terrible first round knock out, Stanford, UCLA and WSU all seem to be representing the Pac-10 pretty well so far. Arizona shouldn't have been there in the first place.ibemacin wrote:Assuming the Tar Heels play the rest of the tournament like they have played Friday and today, this will be the most lopsided NCAA tournament of all time!

Same with Duke. If their outside shots aren't falling, they're easily beatable as shown by the loss to West Va.XXXIV wrote:Sux to be one dimensional...No outside shot no nothing in NDs case anyway.sportdan30 wrote:True. Just off the top of my head, ND and UNLV shot an abysmal shooting percentage yesterday. So, I definitely understand what you are saying.
Does playoff hockey have multiple finished like that in one day no.ScoopBrady wrote:See playoff hockey in overtime.JRod wrote:There's nothing in the world of sport that's as exciting as March Madness. (See Western Kentucky v Drake).
Fantastic game.
March Madness 1 - Playoff Hockey - nil.

I wasn't able to watch the UCLA/Texas A&M game, so I wasn't aware of the controversy surrounding the game. However, after watching the following, A&M got screwed big time! I've seen plenty of missed calls, but that was atrocious.

The refs clearly missed the foul. It happens all of the time now.sportdan30 wrote:I wasn't able to watch the UCLA/Texas A&M game, so I wasn't aware of the controversy surrounding the game. I believe the reffing in both the NBA and the NCAA is very erratic nowadays. I think the game and the players are just to fast for them.

Yeah...just watch the Suns/Pistons game from last night. Yikes. If the Suns don't get the refs that are on the take, they just get the sh*tty ones. Happens to every team in damn near every sport.Pete wrote:I believe the reffing in both the NBA and the NCAA is very erratic nowadays. I think the game and the players are just to fast for them.
Take for example the charge that Nash took on Billups late in the 4th that was called a block. If that same play happens in the 1st quarter, it is called differently. Just pathetic.dbdynsty25 wrote:Yeah...just watch the Suns/Pistons game from last night. Yikes. If the Suns don't get the refs that are on the take, they just get the sh*tty ones. EXACTLY. Nash was right when he said the ref panicked. That was the momentum changing play in the game. Now, I'm not saying the Suns would have won, but that swung the tide. The Suns missed some gimmes on the other end that lost them the game and Sheed's block was clutch...but that one play was huge.Pete wrote:Take for example the charge that Nash took on Billups late in the 4th that was called a block. No sh*t. Nice logic.joeandspiro wrote:If Texas A&M was winning by 10, the call wouldn't have mattered.

I tell ya, the beauty of the tournament....Davidson was busting my bracket last night and yet i found myself rooting for "Cinderella" (i know, they really don't deserve that label if you followed them this year--but seeding wise they are).
If Kansas turns the ball over 18 times against them tomorrow like they did vs. 'Nova the Jayhawks could be headed home. This Davidson team has their hands in everything. Unlike the Badgers though, Kansas has the ball handlers and the quickness as well. Should be a good one.

The question is how many times did the Jayhawks force Nova' to turn the ball over? I've watched every KU game this year, and I've never seen so many ball deflections and swats as I did last night. Nova' was outmatched from the beginning to the end of the game.RallyMonkey wrote:I tell ya, the beauty of the tournament....Davidson was busting my bracket last night and yet i found myself rooting for "Cinderella" (i know, they really don't deserve that label if you followed them this year--but seeding wise they are).
