Change the resolution to 720p, or 480p?sportdan30 wrote:I'm not sure what I did in my video settings, but when I access the PSN now, the print is rather small. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to increase the font size, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Excellent. Thanks GT.GTHobbes wrote:Nice update today at the PS store:

Stuntman Ingnition
There are also some new videos like the new GT5 video and the Heavenly Sword release video.
There's a rumor the MGS4 demo may be coming out soon. Possibly in the next couple weeks.
This update is small consolation for the two announcements out of TGS:
Home delayed until Spring '08
Rumble coming, but not until Spring '08.
First, I can understand needing the extra development time for Home, but does giving me a rumble-equipped controller really take 6 months? Japan is getting it sooner...
Second, this is really bad for Sony, who appears to have given up on Holiday '07 entirely in its fight for this generation. Many of the big release titles are '08, now Home and Rumble...It's going to be March before we have the PS3 that's been promised. Which brings me to my paranoid suspicion:
Is the PS3 being replaced in the US this spring? Why wait 6 months for rumble? Why delay Home rather than issue it as an open BETA? Why not officially drop the price?
I think Sony is going to alter the PS3 in some significant way and try to re-instigate the console war in March of '08. Not sure how or with what, but it seems like they're aligning to a sort of 're-launch' date next spring.
I dumped the 360 in favor of the PS3 because I couldn't stand to reward Microsoft's shoddy manufacturing. With the new warranty, supposedly improved systems (heat sinks) and the HDMI, maybe it's time to rethink that choice?
I actually really like the PS3, it's a sexy, quiet and powerful machine and I love Blu-Ray and some of the exclusives (MLB, Warhawk)...but...

There's speculation of a 40 GB $399 SKU which would have other cost reductions (because 40 GB disk isn't that much cheaper than a 60 or 80 GB HDD).
On the rumble, a lot of games already released support it or will with a software update. I think the main issue is, as poorly as the PS3 has sold, you can't crank out millions of these things all at once. You have to set up the supply chain for the rumble motors and you have to assemble them and get them into the channels.
I can wait. Almost was tempted by Toys R Us' buy 1 get one free peripheral offer, so you could have 2 controllers for $50. Rumble is nice but I wonder about the battery life. I'm trying to think of PS2 games where I remember the ruffle being an integral part. Some game where you're near death and you can feel the rumble imitating a heart beat.
On Home, I'm kind of meh about it. It'll come when it'll come. If the games do a better job of using the XMB friends list, I'll be happy. Otherwise, anything else would be icing on the cake.
I'd rather they get out LBP or at least do a beta this year.

Sport73,
I feel your pain. I wish Sony would act with a bit more of a sense of urgency. I can honestly wait for Home as long as the demos keep coming as they are. Also, hopefully they'll continue to add updates to the PSN.
But whenever I think of going back to the 360, I read the 50 something pages over @ OS of those whose 360s have kicked the bucket. Seriously, that thread gets update daily. Either someone's 360 just got the RROD, or it's sputtering, or games are freezing, etc. Then some people are waiting weeks for a return console, sometimes getting a system made in '05. What is up with that? MS is freakin' shooting themselves in the foot. It's absolutely sad because it's a great great system. You get UPS people and people at the post office making comments about how many 360s they see daily.......ugh, it's frusturating.

I can tell you why there is no open Beta, because Home is in bad shape, it hasn't really changed in Months now. Seriously I think an open Beta would Open (excuse the pun) them to a lot of bad press.Sport73 wrote:Is the PS3 being replaced in the US this spring? Why wait 6 months for rumble? I have no idea about the controller, that is a head scratcher.
Not to sound offensive, but for someone who can buy multiple iPhones why can't you own both?I dumped the 360 in favor of the PS3 because I couldn't stand to reward Microsoft's shoddy manufacturing. As you said the 360's on shelves now, especially the new ones with the HDMI are much more reliable. Plus you have a 3 year warranty on the major RROD issue if it should occur and the cost has dropped. I almost want mine to fail so I can get one with the new heat sink and quieter DVD drive. While it is a pain to replace a unit, I can't understand if you're a gamer why you wouldn't own a 360 right now.
I also couldn't understand getting rid of the PS3 we currently own. Backwards compatible via a hardware solution, its an awesome Blu Ray player and it also is a much nicer media center then the 360. Yeah the games suck right now, but hell Blu Ray movies are awesome.

Time is really the only resource we have... so I hear ya. I can't wait for Dexter, the poster they have in the subway here is HILARIOUS. It captures the show so well, I want to buy one.wco81 wrote: Bunch of great shows starting up this Sunday (Dexter, Brotherhood) as well as next week -- Heros, Office.
