NHL 08

I sure hope that video was on pro or something. The amount of space and time the user had with the puck was a little too much. Just from the videos there was no mid-ice play. And you could go end-to-end with the puck.Diablo25 wrote:Fellow board member Phototropic posted this at another board I frequent so I'll just pass it on. Props to Photo. Its a full game video of NHL08.

I thought the general practice was for companies to ship games early and then have them at the stores for release day?tjung0831 wrote:Those are the ship dates. Oh well, Wednesday is fine.

I HOPE the game is more challenging than the demo.
Come on, TRI: We're smarter than that.
Take care,

There are people there who do like NHL 07. I liked NHL 07 and did not find it too easy. When someone posts something that is so drastically different from my own experience I take notice. In NHL 07 the sliders worked well and if they work as well in NHL 08 there should not be problems.
I'm one of those who did not find NHL 07 too easy and that's with the so called garbage AI. I traded it in, in hopes that NHL 08 will be much better than NHL 07.TRI wrote: There are people there who do like NHL 07. I liked NHL 07 and did not find it too easy. I don't know...seems to still be lacking aggression when it's 5 on 5 play in either zone. It still seems like 5 on 5 is like a powerplay.MizzouRah wrote:http://www.pastapadre.com/1618/full-gam ... difficulty

It is not that bad. At least they try to defend the slot.
I'll reserve judgement for actually playing the game myself. I do wonder if he has the penalties turned off?tjung0831 wrote:I don't know...seems to still be lacking aggression when it's 5 on 5 play in either zone. i'd wait to judge it until it comes out,.,..but demo wise....it looks and plays great.
Oh i'm still buying...i'll be playing this one all night on wednesday. I survived NHL 06 and i'm sure the AI will be much better on this one than it was in 06.MizzouRah wrote:I'll reserve judgement for actually playing the game myself. I hope the defensive AI isn't as brain-dead in the real game as they are in that video that Sudz posted. Talk about stoned statues -- no wonder every skill move looks good.
Skating and stick-handling animations are VERY smooth, though.
Take care,
PK
