Hate to bring this party down a little, but I watched the new videos and the puck seems like it is magnetically attached to the players sticks. I didn't see one loose puck or one puck not get sucked into a players stick and all the passes were tape to tape. The passing also looked a bit too quick. After all this talk about the puck having its own physics and all, I was expecting a bit more. The gameplay kind of looks the same as 07 to me. Am I wrong here?

Man I hate hearing that. If that's true NHL 08 is off my buy list and i'll just stick with NHL 07.

You can even customize the blade of your stick folks. That would make J. Jagr proud.... :)

If the following link is true, then NHL on the PS3 will be running at.............30fps.

In that case, I'll be picking up NHL2K8. Thanks again EA. Oh how much I appreciate it.

Dan is NHL2K8 running at 60FPS on the PS3 because I thought it was 30FPS as well?

From the NHL 2K8 interview thread, nothing really separates apart from both systems except some cosmetic options.

Well, truth be told, I enjoyed the 2K game moreso last year. However, I do like to have my pick of games, something I'm not getting this year unfortunately.

I can't stand all the speculation b.s. EA obviously hears all the worries and frusturation from PS3 consumers, so why not just announce a definitive answer? I wonder if Peter Moore has anything to do with this.... :?

30fps is only bad if the skating is missing animations and transitions that was 07 , 08 should be fine at 30 even.
ive been playing pc games at less than 30 for years and gp4 at 22fps i dont see what the big deal is, especialy if you only have one console then just enjoy what you get and dont listen to all the crap people are saying.
We could tie this into 3 different threads right now but after those last 2 demos i dont see frame rate as the problem, i wouldnt hesitate buying one of these games for PS3 , in fact im probly gonna get 2k for ps3 and 08 for 360.

No i didnt forget Airdog it was a tough choice because we go way back to Grogs league together but Airdog has only just recently jumped back in so with it only 3 on 3 someone has to be the 4th liner  .

Just wanna make sure this mode gets used often so between here and Simville we should be fine.
Just hope i get my 360 back in time.

I'm all over 3-on-3 over Live. I'm sure there will be a steady following for this feature.

Thanks for the consideration, but my plans for hockey gaming at this point includes only NHL 2K8. However, if NHL 08 does knock my socks off, I will also buy that as well.
