NR 2003 Aero88's Poker Night -- 10:30 p.m. (ET) tonight!

Post by pk500 »

Hi all:

Terry and I are ready for another night of NASCAR Racing 2003 Season action with the Aero88 mod tonight. Terry will open the server at 10 p.m. (ET) for practice, with qualifying at 10:45 p.m.

Racing will continue until our eyes bleed or we fall asleep at the wheel. Join us on time, join us late, but f*ck, please join us! I'll be there by 11:30 p.m., as I have an indoor soccer game tonight.

Server IP: 24.205.227.115
Password: siam007

We'll run a variety of race lengths on a variety of tracks. If you don't have the Aero88 mod, get it by following Terry's instructions in this link:

http://www.digitalsportspage.com/module ... ic&t=11826

Executing the mod couldn't be easier. Just double-click the downloaded file and keep hitting Next. The mod installer does EVERYTHING.

Please join us, boys. This game is mega fun and so is this mod. The cars are a touch easier to control than Cup cars, so it puts everyone on a more even playing field, producing even better racing.

See you tonight! It's not a school night, lads, so BE THERE! (Insert drag racing announcer voice) YOU'LL HAVE YOUR ENTIRE SEAT WHILE DRIVING, BUT YOU'LL ONLY NEED THE EDGE! STRAP IN, SHUT UP AND HANG ON! :)

Take care,
PK

I'll be there.....still waiting on a wheel, but I will make due. Might even "borrow" one from Wallmart or something.

Ok I think I have this setup correct so I will list what to do if you want to connect via voice.

Teamspeak is what I have setup, and it is at the following link:

http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?pa ... oads&id=1a

This will bring you to the Teamspeak client.

Once it has installed then run the program. Click on Connection and then Connect. It will open up a new window. Right click on Servers and then click add.

Server Address is 12.216.5.85:8767
Server Password is : siam007

I will be testing this later with Terry to make sure he can connect. If not I will change the settings for this. This is my first time trying to host a voice server so it is a little bit of trial and error for me.

Thanks, Dale! Once we get it all ironed out, perhaps I can add it to the links page...?

That was MASSIVE fun, boys. Really enjoyed racing with you, Terry, Brad, Dale and Jack.

Dale, that last lap at Atlanta, where we ran side by side for second, was about as good as it gets. One of my best virtual racing experiences ever. Nice job grabbing second; I can't believe we didn't touch running as close and hard as we did that last lap.

Let's do this again -- SOON! :D :D :D

P.S.: Any of you fellas who are even the slightest bit interested in this game but haven't jumped in, please take the plunge with us. The more, the merrier, and this is honestly about as good as virtual racing gets, regardless of platform. I sh*t you not.

Take care,
PK

Yeah, I had to watch that replay of you guys duking it out...that was epic. The last few laps had him pressuring you, seeing what would happen. Glorious racing.

That was a great race. Just sitting back trying to find my spot without running in to you. Then finally watching you break and going the one place you kept blocking me out of. Was great! Going to be doing this again soon!
