That page is for the 360 version. The EA PC feature set page does not have Firestone listed. I'm sure EB Games just copied the 360 feature set right over to their PC page. I'm hoping that the 360 version actually does have Firestone.

i always fight every year if i should buy the new version, i mainly just like to play pick up games online. Golf is so relaxing to play and chat with others. Any sales on the pc version?
Well, after some more playtime, I just realized that I don't like playing games on my PC anymore (outside of racing games anyway). So I'm going to sell my PC DVD version of Tiger for $32 shipped. If anyone is interested, just PM me...assuming the Ebay auction isn't over, I'll just sell it directly here.
I have a feeling the 360 version is going to be better overall anyway. The demo is just ridiculous...even though it's on an easy level.

Here's what I bet. On Wednesday, the day the 360 version hits the stores, buy the game and go home and go online and enter one of the daily tournaments. Post your 68 or 69 and feel pretty good about yourself and then go to the leaderboard and marvel at how people are already shooting 48s and 49s.
It happens every year and it will no doubt happen this year. As long as they give people power boost buttons and extra roll buttons, this game will always be a joke. Oh, and I wonder if chipping on the greens will be easier than putting like it was last year?
Just one year I'd like to see them have a tour level or some kind of level where you cannot influence the ball AFTER you hit it, and you can't add attribute points. Then we may have a golf game where multiplayer is actually a valid option.
I was very surprised by the demo. I hadn't read any impressions here and expected more of the usual Tiger console gameplay. But seeing the loading screen mention something about "no more laser precision" was a nice first impression. This looks like it could be a very solid title depending on the single-player depth.
Outside of some potential DSP get-togethers, I probably wouldn't touch the online portion of the game. But your point is very valid for those who do want to take their game online, Badgun.

Could not agree more, except they should be offering such features EVERY year.

The only game I will likely be playing on my PC this year is TW07. I am tired of the upgrades that are necessary ever year or so and it seems that the 360 has finally convinced me that a console can compete with the PC in terms of everything I am looking for in a gaming experience.

I hope to HELL that EA has listened to the feedback from the users who are clamoring for more realism and simulation-like features. It is also quite apparent from looking at the diffeerent forums for each platform of TW2007 that they invested the majority of their time and resources on the 360 version. I sure hope the game reflects this....
Divot, where is a good place to go get user made courses for TW?? I loved in Links how I had many avenues in which to get them. What are some great sites for TW?

They have in fact listened and it shows. I was playing today at the Digital Life conference and the difference between last years 360 version and this years is night and day.
Hard to tell you but they have different difficulties with PGA Tour being the hardest. Plenty of minigames the usual modes and they have an arcade setting for those who want it on the easy side.
I can't wait to pick it up on Tuesday. I know you guys are hardcore sim players, but I believe 07 caters to that crowd also.

I hope come Tuesday or Wednesday I can come here and thank you for getting my hopes up. The underlined comment is easily the most exciting news I have had about TW Golf in years....

Not exactly a glowing endorsement for the type of golf I like to play.
Me neither, but I have never even come close to maxing out my attributes other than Power, so I cannot see me plugging HIO's. This sounds like a promising game so far.

Like I said, people online will be shooting in the 40s on Day 1.
From what PGA TOUR difficulty sounds like, I am hoping you are wrong. I hope they offer PGA TOUR difficulty for Online Tournaments and let the kiddies with the boost and spin after the shot mentality have at their little arcadefest in the Arcade difficulty. I agree with your skepticism, because it is well-deserved, but it "sounds like" EA has finally offered some sort of segregation between arcade/casual users and hardcore/simulation users. If this is what they have done, I could give a rats @ss what scores the arcade users post because it is irrelevant if there is separation between us. We won't have long til we find out now....
