Take it from someone who works in PR for a living: When the cameras are rolling, it matters.

You noticed she looked like hell, so it matters. And you're not alone in that perception, and that's exactly the way Etheredge wanted it.

As you said, it's very unlikely that Etheredge lounged around TO's place in that outfit. So she clearly had time to change her clothes, and she could have taken another five or 10 minutes to "freshen up" her hair and makeup.

But it's as clear as Mount Rainier on I-5 South on a sunny day that she chose not to, emphasizing the image of confusion and panic from the entire previous evening.

Cynical? Maybe. But that's the image business, and Etheredge appears to be pretty skilled at it. When she opens her mouth is another story ...

Take care,

PK...Don't you think it was a bad PR move by her to say "TO has 25 million reasons to live!"

I'm still confused about why Melissa Etheredge was at T.O.'s house in the first place. :D

As a friend of mine put it today: "Going on camera looking like that, and saying those stupid things was the second biggest mistake of her life. The first was using that sperm from David Crosby!" :)

Of course. It probably was the most ridiculed part of the press conference by sports radio talk show hosts, at least on the national and local shows I heard yesterday.

Let's see: Owens is seen as a spoiled, rich, self-centered d*uchebag. So how do you counter that while trying to parry a police report indicating he tried to commit suicide? Say there's no way he would try to kill himself because of the money he makes.

Brilliant.

She also could've said, would a narcissist really try to kill himself? The man did say, "I love me some me!"

She also chewed gum and said that a man of Owens' "statue" wouldn't have tried to commit suicide. Uh, toots, I think the word you meant was "stature."

What a true professional. But I'm sure Owens is paying her six figures a year, which is comical. I hope he's getting some good p*ssy -- or at least frequent rim jobs -- for his money.

Byron Nelson the greatest golfer ever? Hmmm... That deserves another thread on it's own.
