I played so many games of Hardball on my C64.
LOL thats awsome is that the one with "Biff Stinnet" ? he was awsome.
I think so. I used to know all the players by name, but all I can think of is Lefty James.
Wasn't Barnes the big power guy? Am I thinking of something else?

Ahh yes, the speedy leadoff guy, I think. Amazing, I can't remember what I had for breakfast but this thread makes me realize that I can remember the fictional names of guys from a computer baseball game 20 years ago.

There was also a guy named "Bautista", but I don't remember if he was a pitcher or hitter.

Yeah, there was a PC version that would still run (and the c64 and amiga ones would probably work under an emulator). Unfortunately, I don't have the software anymore. I downloaded it off The Underdogs, but theirs is the much-inferior Magic Johnson MVP Basketball, which is a rebranded side-view module of Omni-Play.

That reminds me, I always wanted to get the add-on modules, but I never did because I was a kid with no money. Were any of them worthwhile?

I never played the first Hardball, but I played the heck out of III and got the player and stadium disks (back before they were "discs").

And I still remember a lot of the guys from Bases Loaded: Fendy for DC, Paste for Philly (best hitter in the game), Fox the Philly pitcher, who, when he was tired and his velocity was down, would strike out the AI batters on 3 pitches every time because their timing would get off.

Tommy Euler, Willie Barnes and Something Jiminez were the stars of the Blue team. Man, Euler had a screwball that was just nasty. Can't remember if he sported a "FASTBALL" or a "FASTBALL!" though.

I always hated it when the other team would hit a ball to right field for a single and I accidentally threw it to third base. That's when I would go make myself a sandwich or something cause it took about 3 minutes for that throw to reach the third baseman.

I played as Philly in that game. Paste was the Barry bonds of that league.

I also remember Hawaii had some huge dude who pitched.
