Zeppo, these two games don't show up on the WE schedule for some reason.
How do you mean, exactly? I checked the league site and the games are there as are the results.
drunk and tired Zeppo, ignore me.

Ray Parlour and his 80 year old self scored the opener, but Milan came through with 3 goals in the second half including 2 from Super Sub Gilardino in the last 7 minutes of the match. Good Game Pigpen.

A real grudgematch in the rain between Lazio and Monaco ended in a well-deserved tie for both teams. The first half was spent slogging through the mud, as Lazio opted for the tried-and-true italian tactic of hunkering down on defense and rolling with the punches, striking very rarely on the counterattack with no success. Despite numerous chances by the monegasque side, the half ended scoreless. The second half was a bit more open, perhaps due to the letup in the rain, perhaps due to fatigue. Monaco looked the fresher of the two, going up 1-0 on Plasil's strike from inside the box that easily beat the keeper on 65 minutes. Monaco would feel comfortable after Chevanton's 77th minute tap-in thanks to a sleepy Lazio defense, but the feeling didn't last long. The talismanic Muzzi, in a typically strong showing off the bench, slotted a beauty to the keeper's left from the top of the box two minutes later. Smelling blood, Lazio switched to an offensive 4-3-3 formation and went on the attack. The tactic paid off, as DiCanio headed in a cross in stoppage time to seal the 2-2 tie.

Great game, Jared!

Zeppo, give Rob the win for our second leg game. We had decided on a time this evening and I wasn't able to make it.

Jimmy was the only other game I had left to play and I hadn't made communication with him at all(nor had I recieved any from him) so that result is in your hands.

Look out below.... Lower division here I come.

Thanks for the game last night Jimmy. You jumped on me early and it was over before it began.

I would like to keep Juventus if that is possible for the next season.

Thanks to the upper division for beating me like a rented mule. It was fun.

Did Jackb go out of town and I missed his post? If we have to take a draw on that one, that's fine with me to keep this thing moving along. Playing in a league with a baby is HARD!!

Werder Bremen 2 Newcastle 3

SOG 9, 16
Target 5, 10
FK 9, 4
Corners 4, 3
Posses. 48, 52

Werder Bremen: Klose 25' Zidan 89'

Newcastle: Owen 45+, 58', Ameobi 85'

Newcastle's finished the season on a long unbeaten run as they toppled Werder Bremen 3-2. The game was marked by missed chances on both sides, but was a closely fought affair. Miroslav Klose picked up where he left off in the first matchup between these sides, driving home the opener from the top of the box. Michael Owen equalized in first-half injury time, beating the German keeper with a high-angle shot into the side of the goal.

Newcastle carried the play in the early second half, but was unable to convert until Ameobi banked in a beauty off the woodwork in the 85th minute. That looked to be the finisher, but Zidan answered quickly to throw a lifeline to Werder Bremen. His tricky shot beat Shay Given and gave Newcastle pause. The English side was able to take the air out of the ball for the remainder of play though.

Great game, AtXj! Another one that definitely could've gone either way.

pigpen, do you check your PMs? I have my profile set up to email me whenever I receive a PM. In any case, our game is the last in the 2nd Div., when do you want to play it? I should be free tonight pre-GRAW, and maybe tomorrow night late (maybe).
