wow. www.bluemile.ca if you want a slice of what's happening on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton.

Warning, some nudity!

I heard it was pretty wild, but not THAT wild.

Ugh. Working at the Speedway during May only has one negative -- the corporate SuperScout software blocking all of the good sites!

Take care,

The final 30 seconds of that Carolina-Buffalo game last night must have raised my blood pressure 10 to 15 points on both sides, and I'm not even rooting for either team!

That was some crazy action.

That was incredible. I am pulling for Buffalo so that clock was going way too slow!

Last six minutes were nail-biting to say the least. The atmosphere last night was incredible. There was a 10 minute span in the second where I thought the roof was was going to come off the HSBC. The scene after the game was awesome too--people just going nuts, slapping hands, chanting, honking horns, etc.

The only downside for Buff fans is that it appears we may have lost ANOTHER blueliner. Tallinder left the building last night with his wrist tapped and arm in a sling...ugh. Kalinin, Connolly, Numinnen, and now this--there's only so much a team can overcome.

I have ticks for Game 6--I hope I don't have to use them!

Yeah, just heard the news. Just horrible...son of a@#$%^!!!!!!

With all due respect to Jay Mckee, Tallinder has been our best D-man these playoffs.

They are a bit thin on D now, but they a lot showed character. R. Miller was the difference in the end.

Ugh. The Oil needs to plug the holes defensively -- NOW. They have looked like the struggling team I saw in the regular season the last four periods, allowing 10 goals.

I think MacT needs to return to some form of the trap or the press. The Oil is allowing Anaheim, especially speedy, shifty guys like McDonald and Selanne, to gain the neutral zone too easily.

I thought the Oil had a shot when my boy Georges Laraque scored that pretty goal to pull Edmonton to within 4-3. But Lupul's goal shortly thereafter was a killer, especially since Penner interfered with Smyth on the faceoff that created Lupul's goal.

I thought the officiating dictated way too much of the game last night, for both sides. Devorski and Co. swallowed their whistles in the first period, and then it almost seemed like they got a memo from Bettman on their Blackberries between periods to start calling penalties. They were zebras on acid in the second period, for both teams. I don't give a sh*t if you call everything, but call everything for the whole damn game.

I predicted Edmonton in six to a buddy before the series, and I stand by that.

Does Buffalo have any forwards they can move back to play defence?

Two streaky guys to watch for the next game. J. Lupul (we know what he did to COL) and D. Roloson, this time for the wrong reason. 10 Goals in the last 4 periods is something to look at, after being invincible for the past 6 periods.

I think CAR will even the series tonight, it should be another close one but BUF does look thin on D. Rookie D, Janik will take Tallinder's place.

It sucked...Totally ruined any and all flow. They accomplished the very hard combo of Too many calls made while at the same time too many calls ignored...

I see Carolina saw what I saw in the rook Goalie Ward...he was coming undone...Team has changed once again with a goaltender change...Funny how that happens...

I wouldn't read too much into any goaltending contraversy yet, not at this point. I think P. Laviolette is going with the HOT hand and it happens to be M .Gerber. Being down in the series as a coach you tend to try different things, just ask the Ducks as it worked out pretty well for them as J.S. Giguere started in game 4 (Bryzgalov has been astounding) with not much playoff gameplay this season yet they avoided elimination.

CAR is ahead so far in the game, it's pretty tough for BUF when you lose three of your top four D men.

Ya well in the last game it was Gerber that started the tide turn with some huge saves...after Ward had sucked...

It did happen...I know Ward has become a fav...but it is what happened...

I wouldn't say Carolina looks any better, just Gerber is making massive saves when needed.

Gerber is winning this game so far for the Canes. See if he can do a Giggy 2nd period for me. :D

C. Ward had a subpar game last time but I don't think he's the reason they are down in the series. Should M. Gerber have a weak game, Laviolette would swicth back to Ward in an instant.

E. Cole tried to practice a few times but he's done for the season for the Canes. He's been on the disabled list since that cheap shot by B. Orpik during the regular season.

GM's are getting younger and younger in the league as Bruins hire P. Chiarelli 41, and last week DAL signed Giguere , 42. Also PITT signed R. Shero, 43.

Jillson is killing the Sabres tonight. I'd say on a normal night, it's 1-0 Canes. I'm not going to whine about it, Buffalo needs to get more pucks in the net. Before the game, I figured they needed 4-5 goals to win anyway.

Come back Teppo!!

It's weird how Buffalo is going thru the exact same thing the Flyers did the last time they held the Eastern Conference finals. Half the defense out with injuries, and not having home-ice advantage.
