Zep, were you able to figure out why it has me and Rob as playing one more game then we really have?Zeppo wrote:Really what I should do is set the dates for the third season at 5003. I've got it figured out now. Thanks.
Sorry for being snappy. I was a bit tired and distracted. . . .

OK, a little update:
I added the stadium for PSV to the first post of this thread and the league module.
I added the goal scorers/bookings for the Juve/Liverpool match.
We still have heard nothing from Db (Man U.) and Sudz (AC Milan). While Danimal hasn't played any games yet, he has at least posted once or twice in this thread looking for a game.
That means that barring anything changing by Monday morning, Man U. and Milan will be considered AWOL and be given 3-0 forfeit losses for their games. For everyone esle, including Danimal, we will stay pat and let the games get played. I will get the second half schedule up Sunday or Monday.
Going forward, I will set the game dates with a year of 500X. Thus, the second half games of this season will be in year 5002. This should avoid all problems this start date BS is causing.
I still need to hear a stadium choice for Naples (Middlesbrough) and for Danimal (Real Madrid).
I have not been able to keep up with the bookings, so please keep track of your own players' suspensions. Remember, a red card means an automatic one game suspension, and two accumulated yellows through a season also indicates an automatic one game suspension.

Fellas,
My wife and I are headed to SF and the wine country on Thursday for the long weekend, so I'd love to get in as many games as possible early in the week. I'm available every night after 10:00pm Central and most afternoons from 1-3pm Central. Hit me with a PM, email or message on XBL. Step right up and get your chance to knock the Barcodes into near-relegation

Well, I guess it was inevitable, but my 360 seems to have died. It's frozen up a couple times in the last few weeks, but it worked fine after rebooting.
Today, it's been freezing up repeatedly, and I can't get anything going. And this after working fine late last night, when I got some WE games in with Rob. (That game we lost, Rob, was just a good old disconnect of some kind.)
Oh well.
Actully, I don't know why I'm posting in this thread, since I still have my Xbox hooked up and can play my league games on that! Silly me. . . .

Man, I'm starting to get nervous! I think I'm one of the only early-adopters on DSP that hasn't had his 360 crap out...yet.
OTOH, at least we all benefit while Zep tries to re-learn the triple-jointedness required to reach the black button

Like there could be any fall off. . .
Another shutout loss for Fenerbahce, with Alex and four others throwing up on the bench from the food poisining that resulted in grey arrows. Ugh.
Naples will write a more detailed report I'm sure, but 2-0 was how it ended, and Fen. ends the first half of the season with 1 goal scored. 1 goal. I thought it was tough being a Red Bulls fan. Geez.

Sudz, db are you guys still interested in the league?
Danimal, do you have AIM to get in touch with other players?
I'll try to get the schedule up tomorrow morning, but it may not appear on the site until Tuesday AM. If we don't hear from db and Sudz by then, their teams will receive forfeits for the first half games.
We have an alternate waiting in the wings, a squid, as it were, and fsquid to be presice, who will fit into the third division for the second half if Sudz isn't around.
BTW We will have to have a bit of a World Cup hiatus as myself and Jared will be in Germany for a few weeks. That is, unless someone else is ready to take of administrative/scheduling duties. I mean, I am all but relegated already, what would a full season of shutout losses be to me? Oh, wait, I'm halfway there already . . . .

Match Report
Newcastle United 4 --- Fenerbache 0
SOG 21, 4
Target 12, 1
FK 7, 10
Foul 10, 7
Poss 47, 53
Bookings: Onder Turaci (Fen. 61')
Scoring
Newcastle: Shearer (28'), Owen (37'), Ameobi (58', 74')
Newcastle United Football Club took out some of its recent frustrations on a dazed Fenerbache squad that never found its feed at St. James' Park. Shearer opened the scoring on 28' with a driving header off of a pinpoint Dyer cross. Michael Owen followed up ten minutes later with a powerful drive from a difficult angle that beat a partially-screened keeper. The second half was more of the same, with Ameobi making up for three poor misses early in the game by driving two goals home to open his account. A frustrated Onder Turaci found his day cut short when he scythed down a breaking Alan Shearer.

Well guys...I'm going to have to bail on this league...not by choice I may add. I simply cannot get WE to run on my 360. I got rid of my Xbox so I was hoping to still be able to play it on the 360. It was working fine during season one, but since I got my new Xbox 360...it hasn't worked. For some reason the patch file I downloaded on the original 360 is corrupted and I cannot get it to download again no matter what I do. I spoke with MS support and they said I could just get a new HD...well that's not a damn option. I'm not spending 100 bucks on that ridiculous premise. And I'm not about to do the "buy one HD and return the old one" because that Karma is probably what started this whole 360 debacle. Anyway...I'm back to playing WE9 on my PS2 by myself.
