Couldn't agree with you more. No PGR 2, no Madden, no WE8, no NHL Hitz, I could go on forever. But my XBOX has a permanent home now.

Yeah, I'll eat the 50 bucks I'd lose if I trade it in...I just want to play MVP 05, College Baseball and Arena Football...it's worth hanging on for that.

Pro Evo 5 is on the list, so I'm sure Winning Eleven 9 International will work on the 360 when it's released in February. It'll be the best way to play it since the 360 pad has 4 shoulder buttons.

No kiding. I was even willing to accept the fact that I would have to re-start my dynasty once I switched over to the 360, but now...??? :?

That list is so far from what I expected... I'm flabbergasted. I don't own a single game on there.

Who on God's green earth is still playing ASB 2003?

It's not April 1st already is it?

I cannot believe that list. It's like they sat down and said: "ok, what are the most craptastic games we've had on the Xbox", and then used that list.

Either that or they search gamerankings and sorted the list in ascending ratings order instead of descending when making their decision.

It is currently a disappointing list but I am hopeful that they will add a lot more titles (mostly all of them) over time.

It was awesome to see this in the Q&A:

Xbox.com: Will there be any benefits to playing original Xbox games on my Xbox 360 console?

Todd: Absolutely. One of the great things about gaming on Xbox 360 is the satisfaction of knowing that every game will be playable in high definition. We are now proud to reveal that this extends to the original Xbox games as well. Every original Xbox game will be upscaled to 720p and 1080i, and will take advantage of Xbox 360’s anti-aliasing capabilities, delivering a picture that is clearer and crisper than anything available on Xbox.

What is everyone b*tching about, didn't you see FIFA WORLD CUP 02 on the list! :o

No wonder MS has been awfully quiet about BC so far.

I almost glad to see this. Between this list and the Madden videos, I now can sleep easy without any temptation of getting a 360 anytime soon.

Wow, no Oddworld, Lego Start Wars, Battlefront 1 or 2, 2k5, MVP, Links, Street, Moto GP, MX Superfly or even MX Unleashed or MX vs. ATV. I think they really would rahter drive people towards buying new 360 games at $60 a pop.

Personally, I was pleasantly suprised by the list, sure there's lots of crap games on there, but if you read the Q&A, you'll see stuff that explains that:

"As we focused on the top sellers, we discovered that many other games worked due to similarities in their technology. As an added benefit, games that share engines and technology have been in some cases easier to certify for backward compatibility and have made the launch lineup as a result. "

He also mentions that games with Live following take priorty and they're going to be constantly adding games to the list. I would expect that at least MotoGP 3 would be on the way very soon.

Here's the QA:

gimme NBA 2K6 (for the league that I'm in) and NCAA Football 06

That's pretty funny, if they were working on Halo 2 and somehow discovered that SeaWorld: Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures shared the same basic architecture.

There is a notable lack of VC games on the list- I thought NFL2K5 was a particularly glaring omission considering how well it sold (but I suspected that Microsoft might want to keep EA as happy as possible).

Really, the only games I needed to see were Halo and Halo 2, and there was never any question about them. I've unloaded the rest of my Xbox collection.
