Of course this is a California jury that is far more lenient on criminals than say a jury in Texas or Alabama in the bible belt country. You can get away with sexual crimes with the same evidence in California that you would not in the Bible belt parts of the south. In many cases outside of California there have been people convicted of similar crimes with FAR less evidence.

My main point of disagreement in this whole thread is the idea that if he is a pedophile then he should 'get help'

From what I have seen of Jackson, he certainly could use some help from a good therapist. But if he is a pedophile, then i doubt it will help. Evidence suggests that pedophiles never get better, they are either incarcerated or die, but they never stop doing what they do on their own.

As for race, I am confused. Is there anyone in the world that is the same race as Michael? If I had to guess, I would say Tleilaxu, but I have been reading a lot of Frank Herbert's Dune books lately.

You say that as if it is a good thing.

Better to let a guilty man go free than send an innocent man to prison. Our judicial system is set up to try and make as sure as possible that someone is guilty before they are sentenced.

I was surprised at the verdict, but trust the jury did their job. They deliberated for a while and ultimately decided that there was not enough to convict.

However, I still think Jackson has a lot of warning signs that foreshadow this circus being repeated again in the future.

See, therein lies the problem. Other dishonest people will realize this too and know that this is still a potential goldmine.
