OT: PSP For Sale
Guys, as indicated in my other thread, I feel this is the first step towards recovery. Even now, I am doubting this. I have to follow through. I don't "need" a PSP. I don't have to be like "everyone" else.
As for selling the PSP, one person has expressed interest, and I still haven't heard from him. Is anyone else interested in buying the PSP from me? I am not looking for any sort of bidding war or anything. I just want what would be considered a "fair" price. I have taken great care of it, and know that it will bring someone here a lot of enjoyment.
The PSP I have is in perfect condition, and has no dead pixels (that I can see anyway). I have MLB (opened), and Lumines (unopened). I also have the Logitech case (unopened). If a person wants to buy just the PSP, I am willing to do that. I can sell the other things separately.
Please help me out guys. I would really like to get rid of the PSP, and could use the money too.
Please PM me if interested. In the PM, please tell me what you want (PSP value pack only (includes Spiderman 2 Movie), MLB (opened), Lumines (still sealed), Logitech case (still sealed)), and what you think is a fair price. Please include an estimate for shipping (probably want to insure it) as well. I live in Bismarck, ND, and am willing to ship it any way someone wants it shipped.
I hope someone can help me out.
Thanks.
Steve

Sorry to see you drop the PSP Steve.
I wouldn't hesitate to take the Logitech case out of your hands since I haven't been able to find the damn thing in Puerto Rico.
After reading your post, I just called the EB store near my work and they told me they got 1 left and they will hold it for me so I can pick it up at lunch.
If for some reason they sell it before I get there, I will murder the employees and then contact you for the case.

Scott, I've never used ebay. I know that you have to write a description, pictures help, come up with payment terms, run an auction, etc. I'm just not up to going through all that my friend. I am just down and out right now. To top things off, my wife is giving me more attitude. I don't know what she wants. She says she wants out ASAP, yet it seems like she wants to torture me more.dbdynsty25 wrote:Just flip it on ebay Steve...you can probably get almost exactly what you paid for it, or even a little more from some sucker.
Enough talking about my marital stuff. That hurts enough. If anyone is really good at ebay and could help me, maybe that would be an option.
Honestly though, I just want to unload the system. I don't need to make a profit or even get what I paid for it. I just want a fair price for a system that is in perfect condition.

eBay actually is a less torture-laden option than what you're trying to do now, fishing around for buyers.
As DB said, you WILL sell the item on eBay. And you WILL get back almost your purchase price, if not more.
There's ZERO risk as a seller on eBay. You don't ship until you collect payment. It takes about five minutes to set up an account and about five to 10 minutes to list your first item.
The rest is just waiting and watching the bids roll in. And they will roll in.
You really need to reconsider your stance against eBay. It's a lot less stressful than you think, and it will guarantee a sale at a fair price. It's not like you're trying to sell a Colecovision or Timex Sinclair: You're only selling the hottest personal entertainment device on the market now.
If you don't want to wait that long, then make it a three-day auction. The PSP is so hot that you'll still get plenty of eyeballs and bids on it in three days.
eBay is listing the Top 10 entertainment products in terms of current sales on its home page right now. Guess what's No. 1?
The PSP, my friend.
Take care,
PK

Just realize that half.com charges much higher post-sale commissions than eBay, so you won't earn as much.kicko wrote:why not just pop it up on half.com they don't charge a listing fee and you name your price no auction jazz, and its part of ebay.
Honestly, you could list a PSP with an initial bid of 1 cent -- a 35-cent listing fee -- on eBay and still get damn close to market value. PSP's are that hot.
I never list used games on eBay with a opening bid price of higher than $1. The stuff sells, and it's senseless to give eBay more money by using a higher starting bid price. The free market takes care of everything, especially with popular items.
Take care,
PK

I saw a pre-owned PSP at my EB for $214.99 so I don't know how well they will go on Ebay or what they will go for.
I'm conisdering picking up a second one because my wife is really into Lumines and Mercury and she's been tying mine up a lot. I don't really know what to offer, but I will definitely buy it if the price is right.
Steve, pm me your rock bottom price and if it's good enough, I'll paypal you the money today or I can send it in the mail. Whatever works for you.

That certainly is a good point...but if he advertises correctly, it should be okay. Maybe not 100% of the regular sellers, but you'll probably get 90-95%. People bidding on ebay are stupid sometimes.sf_z wrote:Keep in mind GWS is new to Ebay. A zero feedback seller trying to move a PSP will probably get less action than somebody with a Ebay history.
