Unfortunately for me I still play on my Xbox One and not coming to that system. I know why have I not upgraded well it's because my system is still good and I have other priorities so not for me right now. Hopefully some Societies will still run and if not I travel six months out of the year anyway so life goes on but glad they have new game coming out for those with newer systems.

After giving it a day to sink in here are my thoughts. We hear nothing from 2K for almost 2 years then all of a sudden it's ready for release in a month and that makes no sense. If they said 2K25 is coming late summer early fall I would be excited as there is time for development and info drops but nothing like that going on. Sounds to me like they 2K are putting some lipstick on 2K23 and hoping a bunch of people will throw a bunch of money on it. I have Xbox game pass ultimate and understand this game will be there in cloud gaming when released so my 20 bucks a month will give me a look first but not holding my breath as this looks to me like same game with a few tweaks. Just my opinion and hope I'm wrong but I believe imright.

Game pass always has the release new games as they did with 2K23 and 2K25 will most likely be there also. You don't own the game you play only on cloud gaming at the cost of 19.99 a month. Whether it stays long term or just for a month is up to them.

PGA 2K23 did not release on Gamepass.

As much as I have enjoyed these games, I'm not sure that I will be getting 2k25. I ended up uninstalling 2k23 to make me play EA's PGA game and got to the point where I enjoyed it more. It looked better and provided more of a challenge for me than 2k. The only positive that 2k had over EA in my opinion was obviously the number of courses.

But now I haven't played EA's game since I got the Quest 3S and Golf+. I'm not sure that I will have the same fun playing golf on a controller again

Apparently I was wrong and it wasn't on game pass. I will still wait and see as again I see this release as 2K23-1 with just lipstick on it and if I'm wrong we'll then I will upgrade to new system and get it but no way am I running out and buying day one. Again just my opinion.

But I agree with JOZ: EA's latest golf game was WAY more fun for me than 2K23 or 2K21. 2K Games is in a real funk right now. Both the NBA and PGA franchises are stagnant as f*ck, and I don't enjoy playing either.

PGA2K21 was the best.

I'll wait and see about 2K25. Need more news to come out but probably won't buy it day 1. Maybe wait til there is a price drop.

It looks good but again so did 2K23 in the trailer yet 2K21 still plays way better than 23. I like many will wait and right diving deep into EA game and playing 2K21. The 2K21 game is so much better gameplay wise than 23 especially in the putting game as 23 putting wise is way to easy and making long putts is the norm. Career wise EA is a much better game without a doubt. I have hope for 2K25 but I won't be there at launch and if it turns out to be a great game I will upgrade from my Xbox One but if not I got to many other options to do that so it's up to 2K to provide a quality product as most don't want to see a game that is basically the same with lipstick.

I live in Florida now in the winter so I can play real golf almost any day but I'll still probably give this a try but on the PC, Seems like they copied a lot of what EA's game offered.

graphics definitely have been improved. If they are as good or surpass EA's golf game's graphics then i'll be hard to pass up on release day.

I got to play both PS and XB -

PS5 - no use of the haptics on the PS5 controller which was disappointing.
XBOX - I think it played better because I like using the xb controller more in golf games.

Graphics - they're better than 2K23, more crisp. But still not better than EA's game.
Gameplay - the new swing mechanisms feel more next gen than EA's game. I especially felt that way on Xbox. The game felt more alive on Xbox then 2K23 and EA'S game.

Overall it felt like another 2K golf game, which isn't a bad thing. Visually not a big leap but controls/gameplay it's really really good. Probably will get better when the final version is released.

But I doubt i'll buy this for $70. Will wait for a discount.

Played through the first 9 holes or whatever they give you. Graphically it looks great, quite a step up. But mechanically I just can't get into it anymore after playing Golf+ in VR. I'm sure I'll grab it in the inevitable second month discount for half off, so I'll catch up to you guys in the tournaments at that time.

That said I'm a sucker for all golf games and will probably buy it day one. It's different enough from Golf+ where playing either won't ruin the experience on the other. I don't think.
