For some reason I am excited for this game. I am more of an NFL fan than NCAA fan but I am intrigued to see what the game has to offer. With many of the current sports games releasing glorified DLC every year it will be cool to see a game that has been on hiatus for a long while.

I'm in the same ship as Bill. Huge NFL fan in real life, don't care much about college football. But EA's NCAA games whipped Madden's ass in the last few years before the O'Bannon lawsuit beached the franchise.

Eager to see the reboot of college football in digital form.

I don't know about the quality of the game but I have a buddy who had worked at EA for years, he left end of last year but the last thing he told me is he didn't think the game would be out until 2025 and they hadn't even secured all the agreements with all the schools. Granted this was 4 or 5 months ago but people at OS saying it is releasing July of this year, well we should start seeing something pretty soon if that is the case.

Well looks like my buddy was incorrect and the game is coming out in summer. Although a full reveal in May and a Summer release leaves me a bit skeptical as EA pushed the date of PGA Game close to its release.

You may not see the name and likeness of every NCAA player in College Football 2024, after all. EA is paying each player $600 and giving him a free copy of the game as payment.

LOL. Do you think the starting QB at Alabama, who is making $1 million-plus per year in NIL, will settle for $600? Their local car dealer is paying them 100 times as much and giving them a free car.

The only hope is that the impatience and ego of youth will coax many big NIL stars to swallow and take the $600 because they want to see their name and likeness in the game.

I'm going to disagree here, most kids just want to be in the game. Remember this whole things started years ago with ex-College players like O'bannon wanting to sue EA. It wasn't kids currently in college that I recall. Sure there will be some d-bag, Sanders kids come to mind and maybe they pay those players more but frankly I'd be fine with a game with fake player names anyway.
