Through these fields of destruction
Baptism of fire
I´ve watched all your suffering
As the battles raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms

There´s so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Now the sun´s gone to hell
And the moon´s riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it´s written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We´re fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

Peace.

I was fortuantely not to lose any family or close friends in 2003.

Of course I was blessed in becoming friends with a certain poster in 2003 which seemed impossible earlier in the year.

While I didn´t lose anyone close to my family this year, but I echo all the sentiments mentioned about Damon, who I chatted with a couple times.
I pray for my little sister who was diagnosed with breast cancer this fall and has undergone surgery and is starting the second half of her chemo treatment. It was pretty bad and very scary, but all signs now are good. Hope she makes it.

Here´s to the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country and community. Especially my brothers and sisters in law enforcement. God willing, when I get to heaven, I´ll know the streets are safe.
