Yeah, the UI leaves a lot to be desired and with so much to do, it can be overwhelming. One thing I do when just trying to complete the weekly season events is use the Map Filter function and uncheck everything but Seasonal Events, Seasonal PR Stunts, and Seasonal Collectibles.
Since FH4, with the introduction of the one month long Series with weekly seasonal challenges, what I like to each week is shoot for getting enough points to get the Tier 1 and Tier 2 rewards. You don't have to do everything to get enough points, but what I like about it is that it forces you to try different car/class combinations that you otherwise would not have to do, since the game will basically let you complete all the dirt, road, street, and cross country events with the same car if you wanted to. The link below will have the details of the current Series 2 - Week 2 (Autumn-Storm Season), that started Thursday morning at 9:30am EST. Of course you are presented with this data in-game as well, each time you log in to FH5.
So for example, for this week the Tier 1 reward (25 points), gets you the Koenigsegg One, which is normally $2,8000,000 CR. Tier 2 reward gets you the 2018 Exocet Off-Road Forza Edition which you normally only get via luck with a wheelspin. Sometimes the Series rewards are cars that you can only get by these challenges, or at least they were in FH4. Each individual challenge not only rewards you points, but usually another prize as well, like a Wheelspin, CR, a car, a horn, Forza Link, or clothing (Uhgg on those last three...). I tend to do the challenges that I enjoy and steer clear of the "Choreza" ones like Horizon Arcade, Playground Games, or Eliminator (Forza's lame version of Battle Royale). Although in FH5, you just have to compete in a full round of Playground Games to get the points, you don't have to win like in FH4. Likewise, to get the points in Eliminator, you just have to survive into the round of 30 which is usually easily done by just hiding, but again, I don't personally enjoy that. There are also simple ones like taking a picture of a particular car in a particular location that are easy enough to do.
Since what I like to do most is race, I usually first do the three Seasonal Championships as they offer actual racing with quick 3 race championships where you are competing against Highly Skilled AI (this is locked) in Road, Dirt, Street, or Cross Country over three different courses with different car/class restrictions. Some are pretty fun and challenging diversions, sometimes it is like torture, just depends on your preferences. To get the points and check it off your Festival Playlist, you need to win the championship. Don't need to win every race usually but that certainly seals the deal. I prefer to do these solo against the AI, but you can also do team co-op or PVP.
For example, this week one of the Seasonal Championship Challenges is called "Getting Hyped". It's road racing using S1 class Hypercars, and the reward for winning the championship is 5pts and the 2018 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ which cannot be purchased with CR.
They are all 3 laps circuit events at the following locations:
Race 1 - Bahia de Plano Circuit (Storm Season/Clear/Morning)
Race 2 - Chihuahua Circuit (Storm Season/Cloudy/Afternoon)
Race 3 - Playa Azul Circuit (Storm Season/Overcast/Sunset)
I usually start off by trying to win with a stock car that I have in my collection and haven't used before and then if I can't win with that, I look to trying out some of the car/tune combinations from the Forza Horizon community and YouTube streamers that I will link to below. For this particular championship I went with the 2018 ItalDesign ZeroUno (S1 869), which was a reward car from last month's Series 1. In stock form I was able to go 1st, 2nd, 1st without too much difficulty and it was an enjoyable car to drive.
Then I attempt The Trial, which is team based racing against the Unbeatable AI. This can be fun, but can also be infuriating because many times you may be teamed up with people that don't understand or don't care that the goal is to beat the AI (red cars), not your teammates. You need to beat them 2 out of 3 races to get the 10pts. I usually look to the tuners to find the best car/tune as that is always key in having a chance at the unbeatable AI. This usually takes me a few tries to get the reward. You can do this co-op with your friends if you have a convoy going, which definitely makes it more enjoyable.
Then I will do the 3 Stunt PR's that usually involve a Danger Sign, Speed Trap, Speed Zone etc. with a specific car/class restriction as well as an specific target to hit, usually somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. Sometimes these are pretty easy, sometimes hard, but another 2 points each,
Then finish up with the Forzathon Weekly Challenge (4 challenges with one specific car) and a couple of Daily Forzathon Challenges and that's usually enough points to get both Tier 1 and Tier 2 rewards for the week.
