Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Already have it pre-loaded but from the constant delays to the cut features I am not expecting a Witcher 3 type masterpiece.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I preordered it. Expecting big things with all the constant delays and certainly curious from a first person angle of the game. Graphics look amazing.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Gamespot reviewed the game and gave it a "7". That's if reviews are important to any of you.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077
IGN = 9. Evidently there are a lot of bugs. Perhaps the day 1 mega patch will take care of those?

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Preloaded ready and psyched. Its been a long wait. Witcher 3 is a one of a kind masterpiece if this is half the game it will be something special.
Game reviews like movie reviews and music reviews are for the most part ( not all ) done by useless c***.
The reason for the delays perhaps. Patch more before release... patch less after?

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Yeah the preload was 56 gigs and apparently the day 1 patch is 49 gigs so why even bother with a preload? LOL

I have it preordered through Amazon so looking forward to this but the reviews aren't too hot right now on it.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Since Witcher 3 is my all time favorite RPG I preordered this as soon as I could, which now is a year ago due to the delays. I'm not reading reviews but did see the average score on Metacritic is 91/100. Not too shabby. Gameplay and trailer videos I've seen so far have all looked great to me.

The visuals/style look amazing. But I'm just not an RPG guy. Wake me up when they add in a co-op online experience.

IGN is reporting that a majority of the bugs that were reported by reviewers will be gone with the day 1 massive patch.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Played about an hour on the PC, I think consoles come out tomorrow. Graphically it is stunning to look at, I don't have a 4k monitor on my PC so I can only imagine what this game looks like in 4k with HDR.
Opening sequence really cool. Right now I am kind of stuck between using a controller and mouse / keyboard. The controller feels really ultra sensitive on the shooting part of the game and I am much more effective with a mouse but the hacking controls are a bit convoluted, having to hold TAB down the whole time while hacking and then using the mouse to scroll between hacks and the F key to execute it is a bit much. Plus the hack aren't quick and I am a little confused by them. For example a hack says it takes 15 seconds to upload but real time it is like 45 seconds of holding tab down.
I did run into a few graphical glitches but this game is making me think about buying a new video card with 4k and ray tracing and a new monitor. It gets a little overwhelming with finding items you have no idea what they are and that just come from learning the game but I had a much better impression then I expected. It's more shooter / RPG like say Division then it is RPG like the Witcher at least early.

Make sure to turn cascading shadows down to Medium. It about doubles the framerate.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Played a lot more tonight, story really picks up. The overwhelming part of this game is learning everything, all the systems. Sometimes message pop up and your in combat and can't read them. For example I was in a fight and hackers were over riding my cyberware and there was a quick message on it but hell if I had time to read it in a gun fight. I still have no idea how to combat this.
Also BD's are the coolest thing ever, this game is just so living and breathing despite many bugs / glitches

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I surely hope it picks up for me because all the dialogues and exploring is getting to me. Sure, I am not an RPG guy per se, never been as the first aspect person of the game alone just attracted my interest. But to be honest for all the delays this game took, visually I expected more.
This is on the Series X as all the colors seem just bland to me, they seem washed out, poor contrast and literally zero true blacks. I don’t think they got HDR well in this game, at least not to the next gen standards.
Perhaps I should just play it on SDR and see the differences.
The sneaking in behind and stealth missions is fine, just itching for more action, quicker. Hope the action picks up for me, but for all the hoopla attention this game got, so far I am not that impressed.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I’m with you 10s...the game is kind of annoying so far. I see the appeal but it’s just not really my cup of tea after a few hours. I’ll keep pushing through.
And keep in mind, even with the series X you’re still playing an Xbox One game. It hasn’t been optimized yet on next gen consoles. TBD in 2021. The PC version looks vastly superior. I really should have went that way if I want it to look it’s best. Oh well. Might just shelve it till the optimization patch is released.

And my goodness, character customization has gone way too far.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
My guess is if you don't like these elements you're not going to like this game because there is a lot of that.10spro wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 4:29 amI surely hope it picks up for me because all the dialogues and exploring is getting to me. I'm not sure if you've gotten to the point where you do your first BD and are guided through it and get the gear to do others but BD's take a lot of time. You're essentially living someone else experience as if in a video editor and your looking for clues. I spent 1 hour on one last night, and if you don't like the puzzle hunt type aspect of it then you're going to hate them.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
This is a story driven RPG made by the people who made the story driven RPG Witcher games.
Its not Grand Theft Auto. It is not Call of Duty and its not the Division.
So far, I love it.
