XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)

Guys, I thought I'd start a new thread on this since so many of us took advantage of the Game Pass Ultimate deal. I'm seriously thinking about re-upping when my Game Pass deal is up in 2021.

Games just added was:

1) Devil May Cry 5

2) Stellaris Deluxe Edition (Dan's type of game - Space 4x)

I'm just beginning to see this as a better value vs EA Access and that also offers great value as well. With these types of subscriptions I may never have to buy another game.

Maybe we should indicate PC or XB when we post new game in here. Also if no one tried that new State of Decay 2 story / map they added when Ultimate on the PC launched it is worth a try IMO.

Banner Saga Trilogy is a turned based RPG with a decent story and available for (XBOX). (PC ?)

Alien Isolation (XBOX) survival horror, solid reviews. (PC ?)

I got a message on my Microsoft Rewards dashboard that Bard's Tale IV is supposedly part of the XB Game Pass Ultimate. I tried to download it for the PC but it said it needed a redeemable code. I didn't have a code but will try again later just in case it was a glitch on MS end.

For those who have played the Bard's Tale series, do you need to play 1-3 before playing 4 or are the stories independent?

You don't need to play the others at all and it is a good game, I plan to play it again as i got 90% through with the launch version. There are a lot of puzzles, I mean a LOT.

I also don't think BT IV is part of game pass. Inxile is tweeting all day and they not once mentioned game pass and it is out on XB and PS4 so...

EDIT Inxile confirmed to me it is part of Game Pass on twitter.

I think this game was released today (Blair Witch) is available on Game Pass for the XONE. Did not check on the PC side.

The fact that they are including PC games w/ the GPU is just fantastic. Never been a huge Gears fan on the console (hate shooters w/ controllers) so now that I can play Gears 5 on the PC for free...hell yeah. And it looks absolutely fantastic.

If you guys like pinball games and platformers you might want to try Yoku's Island Express. It's by Team17, they make pretty decent games. Anyway it's a pretty clever take on pinball meets platformer. It has that Banjo Kazooie vibe to it and it's great for kids.

DIRT Rally 2.0 coming to GamePass Thursday, Sept. 26. The best rally game on consoles.

Yet another game I can trade in as I make the gradual transition to a nearly all-digital library. The optical drive on my OG Xbox One is dying (everything else works great), and Best Buy ended Gamers Club Unlocked and its cheap new prices and trade-in bonuses, so it's time for me to get with the 2010s and go all digital download from here.

Yes, my bad for the XBOX. It's also available on the PC but I think it's only on Steam. You may want to check just to make sure.

Same here and that's why i'm thinking on extending my Game Pass sub when it expires. For $100 a year it's a steal so kudos to MS for starting the $1 Ultimate Pass deal because I wouldn't have even considered it. Now I will and probably just make the switch.

I've downloaded it, played a little, and yeah... It's just stale to me. Not the least bit excited about it. I try to play, get bored, and move on.

I was meaning to download it but I read some of the reviews in the Windows App store and they say basically what you said Teal. It's a been there done that. It's not that the game is bad but after countless sequels it's lost its edge. Maybe they need to bring back Cliffy B to do Gears 6.

Myself and Pete have played the Horde mode and had fun but it has gotten stale in my opinion.

Microsoft has a new promo where you can earn 1 free month of Ultimate Game Pass and some other stuff. They mention it's a one month thing. It all starts 10/1.
