RBI Baseball 14
OMG, a new baseball game!!
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/01/15/ ... his-spring
No info, other than Spring 2014 release to current and next-gen systems, tablets and smartphones.
I presume it won't even try to compete with the Show, but it wouldn't hurt to have another game of the depth of say, MLB Bobblehead Pros (which I actually enjoyed quite a bit).
Hopefully it will be more than just a throwaway title.

Let's pray it has good gameplay/physics and comes out for the WiiU
Re: RBI Baseball 14
I think it'll be a XBL arcade type game. That's fine by me. HH series now would be considered Arcade quality title.

Hoping that thread dies the same death as the horrific game it was posted for.Danimal wrote:I'm surprised DB didn't point you to the other thread
Plus, I'm stoked for an RBI reboot...should be fun, albeit arcadey most likely.

I also enjoyed the bobblehead pros game, so would love this one.

I wished they'd have made it cartooney.
Re: RBI Baseball 14
This looks right up my alley.. pop in the game, play a few games in under an hour... very nice!

Rosters limited to 16 players.
Terrible.
Terrible.
Re: RBI Baseball 14
Perfect game for mobile device. Console, not too sure.
Re: RBI Baseball 14

on a side note, what do u guys think was the best PC baseball game?
I miss those days of Hardball, High Heat, MVP etc.

I should have added "best ACTION baseball PC game"?Aristo wrote:Diamond Mind Baseball and OOTP.
I don't play the strategy type ones.
Re: RBI Baseball 14
MVP Baseball 2005 was the last good PC baseball game I remember but as far as AI goes, High Heat was really good especially at situational substitutions.

wonder if MVP 2005 will run on my Window 8 PC? Also wonder if there still are people out there updating the rosters?
There used to be a big MVP mod community out there.
I guess most baseball gamers out there are just playing The Show
on the PS 4? I would love to try it, but cannot justify purchasing a PS4 just for The Show.

There are insane MVP mods out there. I just wish the game didn't run so choppy on the field.JackB1 wrote:Rodster wrote:MVP Baseball 2005 was the last good PC baseball game I remember but as far as AI goes, High Heat was really good especially at situational substitutions.

Then MLB 2K12 is on the PC, and there is a community modding it with fresh rosters and such.JackB1 wrote:I should have added "best ACTION baseball PC game"?Aristo wrote:Diamond Mind Baseball and OOTP.

Cool..I'll have to give that one a try, since my only options now are PC or 360.Aristo wrote:Then MLB 2K12 is on the PC, and there is a community modding it with fresh rosters and such.JackB1 wrote:I should have added "best ACTION baseball PC game"?Aristo wrote:Diamond Mind Baseball and OOTP.

Anyone know where I can download the full PC game or a demo?

I think the game is going to be a big turd. I don't think it is even going to be fun in a nostalgic kind of way.

Re: RBI Baseball 14
It's got a fighting chance, although I do think it'll look too generic and lack overall variety. I think it could be a hit for a younger crowd who enjoys fast paced arcade style games as opposed to sims (ages 8-16). And it'll be fun to pick up and play every now and then, but it doesn't sound like it has much long term value. It would be cool if they included the retro game playable with new rosters as a throw in.Aristo wrote:I think the game is going to be a big turd.
