It's official. HELL YES. No actual release date outside of "summer"...so at least it's coming fairly soon.

Wonder if they will have an upgrade deal for those with the PS3 version?

Hoping so. While I (own, but) never played the PS3 version, I'd gladly trade up for a PS4 version.

When my PS3 died the reason I purchased a new one was for this game and so my kid could play uncharted, feeling annoyed now I did that.

I just can't get into playing singleplayer story games more than once. Especially so soon. Felt the same way and passed on next gen Tomb Raider, even though that was one of my all time favorites.

Well, the game is downloaded and ready to go. I am afraid to start it because I know I'll be in for a few hours. After the phillies game I'll fire it up.

I did the GS thing for $25. It reminded me why I never go to GS. When I arrive the girl (I think it was a girl) asks me if I pre-ordered. I of course say no and she tells me I'm lucky they have one left and I should always pre-order etc.

While I'm filling out who knows what and showing ID's to trade in a game a lady comes in and asks, do you have any more of those (pointing to my Last of Us) and the girl(?) says sure we have more in the back. Then doesn't even acknowledge she lied to me so she could give me their pre-order spiel.

f*** Gamestop and all the s*** holes who work their.

One word bro.....Amazon!

I stopped going to GS several years ago. What did it for me was them trying to sell off a new game that was opened that the employees took home to play first.

This is the first time I've been to GS in probably a year. I usually do Digital Downloads but $25 for a game I already played is better than $50.

Since I finished the story on the PS3, I started playing the 'Left behind' chapter that brings Ellie's relationship with her best buddy Riley. And so far it is as immersed and emotional as the main story. Perhaps the damn clickers are harder to kill but I find the adolescent story telling of both characters quite compelling in the early stages.

I will go back to play the main story again though. It is that good.

If I'm being honest I can't see the difference in graphics most of the time. The game was visually stunning already and once in a while I can notice something and I guess overall it looks sharper but that is not the main reason I picked it up. I wanted to play the extra content.

I can barely see the difference in resolution or textures--that much is true. But go into the options and lock it to 30FPS like the PS3 version.

You'll notice a staggering difference. It damn near gave me a headache looking at it for about a minute. Wondered why they put that in there--I'm betting that's why. It is already the best looking game of the last generation in my opinion, so other than reworking the entire model set and replacing everything, it's pretty much what I expected.

I'm just elated to be able to play it with a good controller. I hated the DS3, and even when I got the DS4 working with my PS3, the motion functions didn't work. So no way to recharge the flashlight when it started going dead, etc.

I played this for hours and broadcast a bit of it on Twitch for kicks last night. Right up until I kept dying in the same place 3 or 4 times and got embarrassed

Damn clickers and mobs of infected! Move just a bit too quick on one of them and I was toast. Repeatedly.

Forgot how amazing this game was, and why I had it on my list of top 2 or 3 games of all time.

I didn't even know that was an option, I'll try it tonight. I'm not sure I understand what it will do but I'll try it. I agree best looking game and one of the best games of all time IMO. What is funny is I keep getting stuck at the same parts I did before :)

I'm already dreading upcoming stuff that I was happy to be done with.

Yeah, I feel you there on being stuck in parts. The big thing with the PS4 version is that it runs at 60FPS. All the option does is drop the frame rate to 30 instead of 60. People who say that you can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 are smoking something

It seems like a pointless option to have in the game, but maybe it's to work with certain sh*tty TV's or something that can't refresh at 60Hz, which would be insane I think.

I left display options at default and the game is like butter. No stuttering and the lighting (mentioned above) is phenomenal. I'll be heading in for a long session tonight.
