Looks like the Browns have found themselves a nice QB.

It's weird having a training camp with no "quarterback controversy", for a change.

Its only preseason and the first game at that but damn if that wasnt the first time I have been excited about one of those in a very very long time.

Based on a few series in a preseason game? Dude made just as many mistakes as good throws -- as expected.

I sort of feel sorry for Cecil Newton, though. His son is being paid above the table for the first time for playing football, so his shell game of trying to pimp his son to various schools is over. He must be so lost and lonely. :)

Well, I'm sure he's gonna taste that pie just a little, so any tears may be of the crocodile variety. :D Glad to know that the NCAA is closing that stupid loophole. But he did better than most pundits would've ever given him credit for, thus far. I didn't say he was the second coming, for pete's sake...

And for the record, he was never paid 'beneath the table'. Just whored out by his craphead daddy.

He looked solid in the pocket on a few throws, no doubt. I'm just praying for the Bills to finish 0-16 so they can draft Andrew Luck next April. :)

All major college stars are "paid" in some shape or form. Free swag, cars, extra bennies, grade changes, cash, etc.

Newton's mechanics leave a lot to be desired. He's a tremendous athlete but tremendous athletes don't become tremendous pro QBs unless they learn how to throw the football properly.

Andre Ware begs to differ, my man.

Raiders at Niners this evening. Went to the game w/ my son. Thank god that we both got out of there alive.

During the game - numerous fights in the stands, for a f***in preseason game.

Post game - From the intital reports on the news - 3 niner fans about to die.

2 niner fans shot in parking lot - suspect Raider Fan.

1 niner fan punched in the head numerous times and into a coma 'Bryan Stow' type, suspect fat ass Raider Fan.

I hope The Crypt Keeper moves the team back to LA and takes his scumbag fans with him. F'n Ridiculous.

But to be fair- there are a lot of criminal type niner fans at the Stick these days. Bad mix tonight.

Presumably, the Panthers thought he could be developed, have his mechanics changed, etc.

Same way Broncos must have thought Tebow could be coached up.

And a lot of teams will probably approach Pryor the same way.

Vince Young did have a couple of good seasons so NFL teams are going to look at the raw athletic talent and see what they can do, though if Pryor can run sub 4.4. at 6-5 232, there will be temptation to put him at WR.
