I just got the same message while reading my Hotmail, so it appears this stuff is spreading. I've turned off Javascript.

I fixed it - it's some sort of sql inject that (I thought) moving to the new forum would fix. But it hasn't, so I'm working on it some more. Thanks for the heads up - my apologies about not fixing it sooner (I've been off the internet for much of today). Please e-mail me immediately (editor@digitalsportspage.com) when something like this pops up.

Yep, I got it, too. Thought I was infected with some sort of malware. I was due for a Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware scan, anyways! Nothing detected, no worries.

Thanks.

Got that same malware warning this morning! Scared the heck out of me. I stayed off the site all day. Glad to hear it's nothing bad.

Yeah, so I figured it out.

Basically, there's a vulnerability in Wordpress (older versions) that makes it susceptible to a specific kind of sql injection that compromises the entire site. We have a defunct blog (blog.digitalsportspage.com), that still exists in some manner and didn't have an update of Wordpress. So they used the wordpress exploit, and it injected a small bit of code into all of the pages at DSP that use sql. I've fixed that, and any other backdoors, so we SHOULD be good for future issues. Though no guarantees....

Again, sorry about the problems. My apologies.

After I got the warning this morning I ran a malware detection and it found and removed something called RegCurve

Do you know if it came from DSP? And which malware detection did you run?

After Danimal posted the alert I ran Malewarebytes and everything came up clean. I haven't seen a scareware popup message since you fixed the problem.

I'd have top check when I got home. I just ran the MS Security essentials that comes with Windows 7, I didn't run Malware bytes. May not of come from here, just all the popups and prompts to download files when I came here yesterday made me run it.

I'll look tonight when I get home.

Does anyone else have to open a new window to open links from DSP now? For example, if someone posts a link to something and I simply click on it, it uses the DSP window to go to the link. On every other forum (and old DSP) when I click on links it would open in a new tab. So there is something different with this one. Maybe it's a setting that needs to be click for Google Chrome because that's the browser I use now. It's the same thing at home on my PC as it is on my Mac so it appears to be something with the new forum code.

Well, my default usage is that it will open a link in that window...and it still does that. That obviously doesn't help much...

...but I'll see what I can dig up.

Jared,

They did that inject to me also a few months ago on my website. It was a pain in the butt to get rid of.

I just heard about this iphone app called ForumRunner on another message board i frequent. It allows you to view a forum in a much more mobile phone friendly format. The only catch is you have to register the forum in order for it to work with the app. Perhaps we could do that for digitalsportspage? Or if anyone knows of a better alternative that would be good.

Is there a reason behind the message that a post similar to yours has recently been posted and you have to submit it a second time?
