The good news: The next official Formula One video game, Formula One 2009, will debut this fall on the Nintendo Wii and Sony PSP systems. The bad news: Full-fledged, high-definition versions for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the personal computer have been delayed until sometime in 2010.

This is great news. I still have the last Formula 1 game for the PSP and it is tremendous, especially considering it is on a handheld system. From reading the preview it is encouraging that the developer is going for realism. I will likely get the PSP version in the fall and then the 360 version when it is released. If the Wii version is really good I may get that one too. This drought of F1 games has been killing me.

I agree, Formula 1 2006 on the PSP is a great game.

I played around 6 full seasons on it, and still pull it out from time to time to do a race or two. It still has legs for me, but it will be great to have the current driver/team lineup and the new tracks.
