OT: D-Day Anniversary

Post by Diablo25 »

Many are talking about today being 6-6-6...to hell with that. Today is the 62nd anniversary of D-Day...a day when many of our men stormed the beaches of Normandy to commence the invasion of Europe. Let us remember them today...and every day.

It's also my 40th brithday, that's 6/6/66 for all of you.

But seriously D-day is a date that is easy for me to remember and not because of my day, but because of all the brave men who sacrificed. for their country.

Great post!

Happy birthday, satan er Danimal.

I didn't even know it was the anniversary of D-Day. You would think that would get a little blurb on the news this morning. On the Today Show (worthless crap, but my TV comes on to it) there was no mention of the anniversary. There was Ann Coulter who is like Satan in many ways...

It's not hyperbole to say that the Allied forces who landed in Normandy 62 years ago truly saved the world.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Take care,

The greatest generation indeed. I love to hear their stories, love to talk with anyone connected to that great and fateful time.

Great heads up, diablo...although I expect nothing less from a good history teacher...
