Hello DSP friends.
My wife (Amber) delivered our first child, Harold Robert last Thursday evening after a long labor. We arrived home early Sunday evening.
2 AM has a new meaning for the two of us.
Fatherhood is amazing and amazingly tiring. What an awesome experience. I am now a part of the DSP Fatherhood club.....yipee!!!!!!!
I am taking off in the morning for 2 days. I will be flying on a C-2 from NAS North Island here in San Diego and landing on an aircraft carrier (they don't tell me which one but it is either Reagan or Lincoln) to spend the day and night. It will be tough leaving the family but this is the opportunity of a lifetime.
Here are a couple of pics to share.
Tlak soon,
Dennis (pigpen)

No doubt, that was my first reaction too. Great lookin' kid you got there, most newborns look like little aliens, all swishy faced and swollen (at least both of my boys did ). I've got my 3rd due in November, I hope she/he comes out looking that good.Jimmydeicide wrote:Wow Dennis congrats, and for once im realy not lieing when i say hes a good looking baby.
He looks like a tv baby were their already 6 months old at birth.

Congrats! What a handsome lad. Love the name by the way. You sure don't hear that name nowadays. There's nothing like holding them against you when they're that little. They're so dependent on you that's it's kind of scary at first, but more so a fulfilling experience. Fatherhood is absolutely great! Enjoy.

Way to go, Piggy! Welcome to the fatherhood club.
Pophood is the experience of a lifetime. You may be tired now, but you'll want more kids, trust me!
He is one lucid-looking boy! Most infants look like Yoda, but not Harold! He must take after his mother.
Has Harold sat in on any Lindsay Wagner double-features on Lifetime for Women with Mom and Dad yet?
All the best!
Take care,
PK
