2006 DSP Fantasy Baseball League

Hello fellow DSP'ers.

It is time for the 2006 DSP fanatsy baseball league.

I made a league over at Yahoo for up to 16 DSP'ers called the "2006 DSP F.L.B."

All I need is emails so I can send out the invites.

The draft date is set for Sunday, March 16th, at 9:30 EST/6:30 PST.

I wanted the 26th...but the good times were not available.

I have the league set up for the traditional 5 offensive and 5 defensive categories but that is open for debate.

In the past, the fee has been $10 and either Jackdog or DB holds the money in their Paypal account.

I know that this year, my goals is to beat SFZ....stupid Giants fan

My only prefernece this year is that your team name somehow has your DSP name in it. It gets confusing when figuring out who is running which teams.

Guys...it is a Roto league...not H2H.

I will send out tghe invites in a couple of hours.....don't have time now between passing periods.

guys...we are 6 days away from the draft and still only have 6 teams signed up. We should ahve 8 soon as 2 DSP'ers haven't completed their sign-up as of yet.

If we are under 10 teams, do we want to go with both leagues still, or go NL or AL only?

I am a little perplexed as last year DSP'ers had to be turned away from a 16 team league. What happened?

Oh well, it isn't to late to sign up.

actually piggy - if we dont get enough guys, i would think it would be cool to go with a one league fantasy baseball.. that would really force the team into making good selections (ps- also in case you're interested, there's a book out now describing one guys fantasy season - AL only -- though about picking it up today)..

I was going to stay out of fantasy sports for a year just to take a break, but I'm willing to join up if you need players. I won't be a lam duck team either. As soon as I'm commited you can count on me to be there the whole year.

Guys if Rubba joins we should have 10.

Is 10 enough in your opinion to have a full league draft?

Or do you want to do NL or AL only?

I could go either way but am leaning towards a full draft.

Anyone else looking to join, it is not to late. Let me know. We would be happy to have you in the league

I'd rather go w/ AL or NL only if there are ten teams. Twelve is pretty much the break point for mixed leagues IMHO.

If everyone wants mixed leagues, I'm OK but think we should add extra bench spots to dilute the free agent pool.

Piggy.......sorry, but I'm going to bow out. I won't have enought time to devote to this and just to pick a team and watch it sit there doesn't make sense either.
