You're very kind 34, but I didn't expect this lack of energy and total depression a few hours after the game. Regarding the Neuer knee on Higuain, just because you got the ball first doesn't mean you can practice dangerous play and simply accept possible injuries of you opponent. Higuain didn't even see him coming and Neuer just rams him down. And there's a rule for endangering an opponent.

Again not looking for excuses, not the type of guy I am, but those misses by Higuain earlier, Messi and Palacios were just too much to waste away to a very good Bavarian team.

Your love and passion for your people, your country, your team runs deep. My guys are not so good and I had low expectations but I was still sad for a few days.

Muller was better. Lahm. Rodriguez maybe, a sentimental pick.
Maybe.

But there's a reasonble argument. How many games would Argentina have won in this tournament without Messi, especially with DiMaria and Aguero injured and Higuain being the Argentinian Wondolowski?

He carried that team on his back to the final. He was their entire attack, and he was the focus of every defense that he faced.

I probably wouldn't have given him my vote either, but I don't think it's as ridiculous as some are saying today.

Hope you're feeling a bit better today 10s. Tough to lose in the final but at least you have the satisfaction of having got there.

Germany deserved it, but it was a hard battle with only a few clear-cut chances. From the comfort of my armchair, when he was in the clear, Higuain should probably have taken it on and slotted it past the advancing keeper, or even clipped it over him (L1 + square 8) ).

Surprised that Lavezzi taken off at half time? Along with Messi, I thought he was giving the German defence plenty to think about in the first half.

The German goal was very well taken and also saved the tournament from being decided on penalties.
