One more, then I'm done for a while :)

DB may have gotten the steal of the draft with Shelton, but I think I got a couple of deals as well.

I ended up with Wright AND Rolen for 3B, snagging Rolen in the middle rounds. I also managed to aquire Young AND Rollins at SS (Rollins was at the end of the 5th round). With the utility, CI and MI spots it's looking like my strategy worked out alright (so far).

Week 2 Standings:

1. Jackdogs Redlegs 78.5
2. SF_Zexpos T-car 77
3. MattKs Mudpuppies 69
4. fanatic's isotopes 68
5. Chapel Hill Soapmen 60.5
6. S.D. Pigpen Dodgers 59
7. Db's NuLLseTz 57.5
8. nyisles16 hitmen 57
9. Fighting Iguanas 53.5
10. Leebo's LFers 41.5
11. Brando's Cow Tippers 38.5

Sudz(Soapmen) made a huge climb yesterday and lookie who is near the top, 2 time reigning league champion, SFZ.....who will no doubt take over if Clemens decides to come back.

Jackdog is hanging at the top....but the pack is getting closer and closer to each other.

Brando's wholesale changes netted him some points as he looks to climb back into the standings.

I'm just trying to survive at this point. Ichiro is hitting .200, Santana has no wins and 4K's a start, and let's not even discuss Beltre.

If my pitching starts to come around like Smoltzie last night...then I'll be all good. If it continues as is, I might as well quit now.

Week 4 standings:

1. S.D. Pigpen Dodgers 78
2. SF_Zexpos T-car 75.5
3. nyisles16 hitmen 69
4. Jackdogs Redlegs 65
4. MattKs Mudpuppies 65

My pitching came around the last 2 weeks.

SFZ continues to show why he is always at the top.

JD hopes Ben Broussard can contribute 8 RBI's in 1 game for him.

Brando made a huge jump, then slipped a little yesterday.

There are 6 teams within 20 points of the lead...this isn't over by a long shot.

Week 7 Standings:

2. S.D. Pigpen Dodgers 80
3. nyisles16 hitmen 74
4. Jackdogs Redlegs 65.5

6. Brando's Cow Tippers 56.5
7. Leebo's LFers 56
8. fanatic's isotopes 50

10. MattKs Mudpuppies 46

SFZ and I have been playing teeter totter back and forth the last few days.

Hulkster continues to lurk behind.

With 3 more pick-ups, JD will have had every FA player in the league on his team at one point of the season. At least he gets Gagne back this week.

DB has yet to figure out who the Brave's closer is this year. The same can be said for Bobby Cox.

DB has also lobbied Yahoo to get rid of random draft positions.

Brando has 3 top shelf pitchers on the DL....will their return be enough?

Any other observations?

And two hurt catchers, both of whom have been playing great.

It is also very tough to have Bonds on your team -- you don't want to root for him, but it's hard to pass up on those dingers.

Yeah, my team sucks :?

Looking over my team after the draft I thought I had a really good team. So far My stars have all been ho-hum, and no one else has stepped it up. I'm hoping that at least a few of them pick it up a notch so I can at least make a run for the middle ground.

I knew Ichiro wouldn't hit .250 the entire season!

Can someone explain the waiver system to me? Also, what is the "can't cut list" (not that I necessarily plan on cutting Ichiro, Jeter, or Santana)....just wondering.

Like what it says, guys you can't cut  It's to prevent collusion and keep an owner from cutting the "stars" so someone else can scoop them up. Who makes the list is based on last year's performances -- I'm not sure if it changes over the season.

As for waivers, if someone gets dropped, they're on waivers until the date listed by their name. If two owners try and pick that person up before they clear that date, the person with the higher waiver number gets him. Once someone clears waivers without being picked up and goes into the free agent pool, then it's first come, first served.
