That was brutal.
Glad I dont bet the NFL anymore. A bet on the Vikes NOT knowing Ponder was hurt was not good.
Not saying Ponder is good but my God that was just Vader magic...

Under throwing guys by ten yards was pioneered by Tebow. We may have some copyright infringement before it catches on. Tebowing part 2.Danimal wrote:Hmm that Webb'd it thing might catch on like Tebowing.

The best was when he fell over Mathews after the LT took Mathews out of the play. LOL

Yeah.. watching Webb play was brutal... I mean, you can only run it so much against an NFL defense.
I would take him on Mizzou though!

No Norv Turner and does not seem like a retread....pk500 wrote:The odds are quite high that Ralph Wilson will hire a retread NFL coach to replace a deposed retread coach, Chan Gailey.
Look at the list of inexpensive losers Wilson has hired since Marv Levy retired for the first time in 1997: Wade Phillips, Gregg Williams, Mike Mularkey, Dick Jauron and Gailey. Expect that trend to continue.
Ralph is the only owner in the NFL who would see the hiring of Norv Turner as a stroke of genius.

Re: NFL Season 2012-2013
Very mixed emotions about the Marrone hiring.
I think the Bills made a smart choice. The pick also shows this is Russ Brandon's team now, not Ralph Wilson's. Brandon went "outside of the box" to hire Marrone, something Wilson never would have done.
But I worry about a negative effect on Syracuse football, especially since chances are good that Syracuse AD Daryl Gross will screw up for a second time when hiring Marrone's replacement. Anyone forget the hiring of Greg Robinson?

Re: NFL Season 2012-2013
Seems like the trend is towards hiring college head coaches instead of NFL assistant coaches. A few years ago, after Saban, Petrino and Spurrier bombed out, nobody wanted to touch college coaches.
Re: NFL Season 2012-2013
A quarter for each team. What looked like it was going to be a long night for the Hawks, the D tightened up the screws and we got a game going. I liked Wilson on a couple of bootleg plays where he seemed to surprise WAS a couple of times especially when he was running with the ball.
In a very tight game where a FG may decide the outcome of the game I am a bit concerned about Haushcka's ankle.
Both rookies QB's are putting on a show.

I've never heard this place as loud as it has been so far today. Almost like old RFK. Griffin's knee doesn't look good. Not sure if he can make it happen. Nobody seems to be getting open and the run game has been stifled. We need a big improvement on both sides for this second half.

Seattle clearly a cut above the Redskins, even if the scoreboard doesn't reflect it yet.

Tell you what. I know the Falcons wanted the Skins to find a way to win this game.
They got trouble. I like me that Wilson kid.

I think Falcons and Niners lose next week. Like the road teams in the NFC way better than the home clubs. Meanwhile the Peyton/Brady mediagasm in the AFC Championship seems inevitable.

Would love to see the 49ers lose next week.
Seattle impressed me.. can't believe how well we did against them this season.

IMO all these teams with mobile QB's one one play away from trouble. Not really sure why RG3 was left in the game so long.

Re: NFL Season 2012-2013
Questions should be kicked at Shanahan's decision to keep him in the game. He's your franchise QB, clearly not 100% and you risk his career for one single game? In the meantime R. Wilson was meticulously picking his spots with increased confidence.XXXIV wrote:Much of that is RG3's leg.

Seahawks' D in the second half especially the last quarter played like the D that dominated during the second half of the regular season. Dominating.
And Wilson, what else can I say about the kid? Did you see him rushing all the way to the end zone in M. Lynch's TD looking for a block? Never panics, and good mobility.
I like their chances in ATL but if they fall fast by a couple of TD's in that dome like they did today, they may not be able to climb back in time.
Like I mentioned a coupe of weeks ago, this team could be and is proving to be dangerous in the playoffs.
