Good to see looooong-awaited character meetings and reunions will finally happen. Bran returns, Jon talking to Dany(?), Dany vs Lannisters...

No sign of Southern houses in these trailers. Honestly I'm still looking for a good reason that the whole Sand-snake sisters even exist in this story.

Only the Lannisters want revenge against those sisters and their mother.

But they're going to have their hands full with Danni's dragons, maybe Jon Snow and the Stark kids wanting vengeance.

With so few episodes, are they going to pivot to the White Walkers at the end, leading to cliffhanger until next year?

That was a great start to the season.

After the ending of last season, it was apparent that either we were watching Arya in disguise or a flashback. And when Walder/Arya stopped the girl from drinking the wine, it sold the scene on what was unfolding. Good stuff.

Great opening scene and then 40 minutes of nothing. Typical GOT.

Table setting. I could've done with less screen time for Samwell though to express a pretty simple plot point.

I think with what 12 episodes left in the series the time for table setting episodes is over. Considering the producers bragged about how fast they move this season, I thought this episode was slow as could be.

After the beginning of the episode with Aya doing her thing, the rest was pretty predictable and at the end my Son and I went "Huh? That's it?"

Right lets think of the wasted time. Arya sitting down with the soliders just so Ed Sheran can have a cameo, f*** that dude. Sam's scene went on too long and accomplished nothing until the end. The Hound scenes, really no idea where this is going.

They have so many people to cover and they are using the same techniques instead of trying something new. Again it is typical Thrones fare and fans will be fine with it but don't spend the entire off season saying how fast it will move and the best scene in your episode is basically something covered in last seasons finale.

"He really was a cun&, wasn't he?" :)

At least Diana Rigg got to go out with the flare she's displayed throughout the series. :)

Probably my favorite episode so far if you can get past the notion that the remaining Lanister's are so skilled at strategy that they can out guess every move coming at them. Felt like the whole "trap" was nothing more than an attempt to get an "oh no" reaction from the audience but kind of fell flat for me.

Writers have certainly thumbed the scale to make the odds faced by the heroes a bit steeper. OTOH, I just kind of shrugged it off as the Lannisters' having home field advantage.

Yes with limited episodes remaining they have to make compromises. I think what is missing from the books, or at least the ones I've read is the travel aspect of getting from point A to point B. That was always the adventure in the books but now it is just like hey look Jamie just got a hummer from his sister and now he is all the way over here leading an army. :D

As someone so nicely put it on Twitter, it's like playing Skyrim and fast traveling everywhere.

Euron seems to be able to cover a lot of ground.

Or his fleet is everywhere, as if they know where Dany's forces are going to be.

Exactly my thoughts....wow, that was quick!
