Got mine this evening too. Only had a few minutes until my son put in WWE 2K16. It definitely has potential with Forza 6 using the hair triggers, but I need a lot more time. Hopefully tonight sometime.

Well the Elite Controller is definitely a high end piece of hardware. The amount of customization is pretty overwhelming. It has nice weight to it. I love it. I used the 'Halo 5 Multiplayer' preset with the extra long stick on the right side and it was decent. The paddles will definitely take some getting used to. They will come in handy in FPSs if you configure them to take place of the A, B, X or Y buttons. That way you won't ever have to remove your thumb from the right stick. I want to give it a try in BF4 also. There are presets for Forza including manual, and clutch use with the paddles.

Oh, and the hair trigger setting comes In handy in Halo/shooters.

The controller is great in BF4! I am using the paddles for grenades and crouching. Still getting used to feeling the paddles under the controller.

Been looking everywhere and still can't get the Elite Controller. Driving me nuts, and I'm not going the eBay or Amazon reseller route where they're charging $314 for the thing. Had I known this was going to happen, I'd have preordered it earlier....couldn't even fathom there not being enough $150 controllers at launch, or any time past the Holidays.

Reached for comment today, a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed to Polygon that the controller is "sold out in many retailers around the world." The rep continued, "We expect more units to arrive at retailers each week but supply may be limited through November."

Honestly, I have to believe that they had no idea how well consumers would respond to the marketing for a $150 controller. Hell, I love the thing, but I decided early on that I was going to wait for the price to drop or get one used. Looks like I will be a long while.

The last thing Microsoft needed was $150 controllers sitting around on shelves collecting dust because average average gamers balked at the price. Turns out, their marketing department just nailed it. The videos all made this look like a must have item for all gamers.

I was able to pre-order one recently on Microsoft's website with a shipdate prior to Nov 30.

I think it's a bitchin' list. All of the AC games, Far Crys (which I never played), Gears (which I never played), Ghost Recons (my favorite military franchise), Splinter Cells (didn't play those later ones), Fallout 3, etc.

Sources at MS? Sorry, dude: I would like to be the ultimate Woodward and Bernstein of gaming, but I've never had sources at Microsoft or any publisher.

I'm pals with DSP alum Brian Ekberg (BBReBozo), who works on the team that produces the Forza series. That's my only source at MS.
