I played a round of MP Team Death Match and it was very cool. It reminded me of the old Ghost Recon on the original Xbox where you might not see anyone for 15 minutes and then...there he is. Gratifying kills!

You f*ckers tempt me, as I'll have $82.50 in BB credit burning a hole in my pocket tomorrow night when I trade in games.

I LOVED Sniper Elite 3 - a real sleeper for me. I expected nothing, and it was great. So I just may join you cats killing Krauts from afar in Italy. :)

This game is as big of a leap for me as any series I have played. There's no way in hell anyone who liked SE3 will not be enamored with this game. As you famously said, it has me harder than Chinese arithmetic. I only play the campaign, and I still think it's worth retail price. Someone like you who will play the campaign and online with people from here? On a 1 to 10, this game is a major win. Peel open the wallet and come jump in.

I'm there tomorrow night, dude. No need to pry the money clip with a vise, either. I'll have $82.50 in Best Buy credit, so I'm thinking of buying Sniper Elite 4 and Steep. The gift card will cover both, as I'm Gamers Club Unlocked. :)

Total forum effect, like Teal. But I loved Sniper Elite 3, and the videos for this game look fantastic.

Oh, this is already so much better than SE3. The open world sandbox approach makes things a lot more conducive to being a sniper. Previous versions kinda funnelled you from one semi open area to another in a linear fashion. This one is "here's where you are, here's what needs doing, have at it". You have to be much more careful this time though, because of it. I ran right into Nazis early on, thinking I was in the clear because I'd cleared out an area and could just run to the next. Nope. The are soldiers everywhere, and on the higher difficulty, they can triangulate your position pretty quick. Very important to wait on sound masking if you can. I've only played a few minutes, but I'm in sniper heaven.

I got the digital version on the PS4 so there is no returning it...s***! I love it. Because Im not a run and gunner in FPS's I've always been partial to sniping...distance killing...and this game hits the sweet spot. Its like Teal said, This is you, there is where you need to be...have at it. I would love to coop with you guys but its PS4 for me :(

Nobody wants to play BF1 with me anymore, and it's getting old murdering Teal over and over, so I guess I'll jump on this bandwagon. :)

Late, if at all. My sons start the "February ski break" vacation from school tonight -- yes, kids here actually get a mid-winter week off to go skiing and play in the snow -- so they'll probably squat on the Xbox until around 11 p.m. ET.

I'll try to find you cats if I can pry them from the machine. :)

Wrekcut is in! Welcome to the party, pal! On another note, I'm in mission 2, and DAMN, this game is harder than any before it...Which makes me smile. A lot.

I'm wondering if the reviewer ever played a Sniper Elite game before this one... Lol. It's not that the points he made are WRONG, but for me, they tend to be nitpickingly technical. Yes, the guards inexplicably stop looking for you after a bit, but they always have, and every stealth based game I've ever played does that. Yes, sometimes they act as if they have the hearing of a cat, and other times the hearing of your grandpa without his hearing aids. Not new to the series. And the gore cam has never been my draw. What IS new is the open maps, the sheer variety in approaches, and the far more beautiful environments compared to earlier versions, especially the relatively bland Africa of SE3. If you've ever played SE, you are getting that again, in a better package. Just did a little co-op with Wrekcut, and that's a lot of fun, too. Bear in mind that I have played (and loved) every iteration of SE all the way back to the original on Xbox, too, so my view is obviously partisan, but even so... there it is.

I started a single player campaign today and if I didn't have to go and referee soccer tonight, I would stay up all night.

If you like previous versions of SE, you'll really fall in love with SE 4! Finally an open world, with objectives obviously.. but being able to approach scenarios my way is such a thrilling and fantastic ride! Maybe it's just me, but the splattered kills NEVER get old to me. I love sniping a truck, then waiting in cover as the guards come towards me, pass me up, then I unleash some automatic fire on them. :)

I'm very early into the game, but planning my next strategy is such a fun experience! Scouting the area first for escape routes, tagging targets, then putting my plan in motion.. it's a rewarding thing when it goes well. Like all SE games, it's not a romp into town with guns blazing.. it's a methodical mind trip with loads of strategy.

Loving it..... :D

Solid review. I'm two missions in and really enjoying the campaign. I want to try some more MP too.

I noticed this morning that Sniper Elite 3 is something like $12 on PS4 right now. Hell of a deal for those on PS4 who don't have it.

You could have all the MP and co-op you wanted if your sorry ass hadn't gotten the PS4 version... :D
